Please stop with the jokes/posts that speculate something sexual or scandalous is at play here. They do not contribute to discussion and are generally of very poor taste. |
Hmm guess well see in about half an hour what MMA is going to be dressed in I'm looking forward to this

Just give up Bagy, arguing with him is fruitless T_T Alas, as a Slayers and MMA fan (big one at that), I feel somewhat obligated to try to stop another senseless community witchhunt, especially if it is directed toward a team that I like. If there is one thing that I have learned from politics, it is that a lie or whatever ignorant rhetoric, if repeated long enough and is not refuted, can become logical to the masses after time.
Edit: It's kinda disappointing how groups of otherwise interesting, good natured people become a mindless blob so easily. I don't have the e-stamina to keep arguing on the internet though. Good luck with your efforts :p
I actually don't like SlayerS (except YuGiOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and Boxer obvs) nor MMA (for some reason I've always found him antagonistic?) but I am so annoyed when this community goes apeshit like in this thread, and random forum posters make up all sorts of insane accusations and hypothetical scenarios and blow everything way out of proportion. I may not like either party but I really want them to resolve this properly and for everyone to just chill the fuck out

I think it might be best if you calm down a bit and put down the pitchfork and torch that you are holding. Slayers deserve a lot more shit than they get for doing this. Because we don't know what happened. MMA was supposedly demoted due to behavioral issues. Maybe we will get information then. We can conclude that Slayers set out to hurt MMA's reputation, confidence and practice regime two days before his code A matches. That's plenty of information right there as to what type of "team" Slayers is. *Note: that I wrote this is a very calm fashion That kind of witch-hunt mentality that you have needs to be purged from this community. You can't say that without knowing the details surrounding the punishment, which is unavailable. If MMA deserved punishment, SlayerS handled themselves correctly by not delaying punishment. Such favoritism would have sent a terrible message. You shouldn't be able to get away with punishment just because you are famous or a good player.

Honestly, I can't tell if you're trolling at this point, that's literally how dumb you sound.
There are NUMEROUS reasons why MMA would be punished besides performance issues or some ridiculous and unjustified assumption of "malicious intent" on behalf of SlayerS. We just have to wait and see instead of certain people displaying this utterly stupid witch hunt mentality. I really like MMA and I really like SlayerS, so I'm personally just hoping everything works out amicably. Not sure why anyone would get out the pitchforks against MMA or SlayerS at this point because we don't know anything other than that MMA is being punished and is really upset about it. If/when more details are released, then maybe you can evaluate the situation for yourself and form an informed opinion about it.

middle fingers should be pointed directly at those who spew bullshit before even knowing what truly happened. Since MMA walked into the GOM studio without his slayers uniform, it might be telling that he left slayerS already.

Give me 1 good reason why, arguably ,the best player in a team is moved to "B team" without him having any strange performance issue ( he is in Code A after all, not all of them A team SlayerS player are... he is on a bad run lately but that happens from time to time ) OR map hacking/steam cheating/arranging matches. Again, if there was some arguing between him and the other residents of the house than they can simply say that in a statement without going into details and than release him from the contract and allow him to move into another team practice house. But they didn't do that... should i draw from this the conclusion that he indeed map hacked/steam cheated/arranged a match ? Some people might. It is SlayerS that are hurting a players reputation not the "bad community" that is hurting SlayerS with there E-pitchforks. If there were arguments between MMA and the team, SlayerS does not need to release a statement detailing the argument, which would likely be personal. They did release a statement without excessive details. It is also important that they note the punishment, because when people find out MMA is no longer in the team house or on their GSTL roster (I assume, since he is B team), even crazier speculation will occur. A lot of the people here saying that players should be released from contracts whenever a player no longer wants to be on a team do not understand what a contract is. You can't just break one unless one party breaches said contract (and then, there will be fines/punishments/reprimands/etc), or a mutual dissolution of the contract is agreed upon.
I agree with all that you said, but i don't see how it contradicts my point ? If there is an argument between the team and MMA than they don't need to give us details about it, but they did not even state there was an argument... thats my point here. If they said " there was an argument between MMA and certain staff/team members" and leave it at that I would say its fine. But unless they state so the community will speculate shit about match fixing or sharing replays with opponent teams, not to mention worse.
Same with the contract issue, I am not saying that a player should be free when he wants to go. But when a team release a statement shitting on one of there players and not giving any reason for doing so it hurts said player reputation. A team should do the opposite, thus it would be "ethical" to let him go if you are not going to release a statement.
I don't understand your guys point... Are you saying that this DOESN'T hurt MMA reputation as a player ? ( and arguably his ability to practice )
Are you saying that a team should be able to hurt one of there players reputation ( and again, arguably, his practice for an important match ) without allowing the player to go ? The contract doesn't imply MMA can't say a word about SlayerS, he could ( most likely ) take matter into his own hands and tweet/make a statement about what happened, and that would be the worst thing ever for SlayerS AND for MMA in 99% of the cases, and sadly enough that point might be reached if SlayerS doesn't release and official statement soon and MMA doesn't agree with that.

Let me give it a shot:
Could be just a huge red herring to make TSL let down their guard. Think about it. MMA pre-patch was probably one of the scariest TvZ players out there, and could have all-killed TSL's entire Zerg line in his prime. He's slumping now, but the raw skill is still there. By pretending that MMA got kicked from the house and is no longer on the A-team, the TSL team slacked off on their vT practice (especially considering that Ryung and Puma are going to MLG that weekend).
Day of the match, boom! MMA comes in as the 2nd man after Clide (confirmed starter) falls, and all kills an unprepared TSL. In the post-match interview, MMA reveals to the world that it was all just a trick to lower TSL's guard. Slayers-EG makes it to the GSTL finals.

I doubt it would affect slayers much at all. It would damage MMA's reputation immensely, however.

You don't know if this is actually "hurting" MMA's rep...
They could be doing him a favour by covering something up.
Think about how they handled CoCa, they pulled him out of Code S before Gom could punish him themselves.

Did they not kick a two time GSL champion out of the house and issue a press release about it 2 days before his GSL matches? Witches are fictional..... what Slayers did to MMA is fact.
Maybe I am dumb, because I can't think of a single reason why Slayers would do this like they have if they were not trying to hurt MMA's reputation and chances in the GSL.
What purpose did Slayers press release have? How did it help their team?
They could have kept it all "internal" and we would have heard something a few weeks from now once MMA moves on. They made a point of showing what they can do to their players and how rough they can be.
Slayers bullied MMA worse than you bullied me. And you almost made me cry with your meanie comments!
