I don't think it's going to happen until HoTS. People are all playing D3 in NA these days.

NA qualifiers are flooded with koreans which are better than EU players whereas EU qualifier is almost COMPLETELY absent of koreans.

true.. i dont like it, but i think mlg have to limit the american qualifiers to people living in america

Stephano needs to pull this one out before he catches Squirtle's 'almost' disease!

Sorry for bumping this, but I don´t see the logic in here. I mean let´s see the results of the kor-ams. at the last Arena:
SeleCT - Getting knocked out by EU-player Tefel at Arena (LR 1).
Mook - Getting knocked out by EU-player ThorZaiN (LR 1)
Killer - Getting knocked down by EU-player Ret (WR 1)
Rain - Didn´t play against Eu-players at Arena. But in the qualification he defeated NA players, under the same circumstances, in which he lost to many EU-players at NASL - where they have lag to.
Sleep - Used to play cups and has <50% winrates aginst Nerchio, sLivko, Goody, Kas, Bly, Cloud, Fraer, (according to mystarcraft.de). To be fair he has a good WR against most Euro-protosses.
Idra/HuK - Are american/candian and not korean.
viOLet - Well, he won the tournament.

So the "flood of koreans, who are better than Euros" consists of 1 person (viOLet)- About every other one you can´t really say, that they would be better than Euros, until they stop losing to them.
nvs.

If I stay up from 2am to 8am (WTF?!) for MLG, I will miss EURO Games... so 95% of the World won't watch MLG, if they plan to watch the EURO.

I highly doubt, that 95% of the world cares about EURO. The americans most likely don´t and I guess a few of the euro´s don´t either. I don´t really care about football, so I might be wrong, but the group-stages aren´t that important, so more peolple would chose an MLG-Final over this, I think.

Its not as interesting to watch when you know 14 out of top 16 are going to be Koreans. GSL is a totally different story, I wanted to buy a pass for this MLG until I realized that it will be total Korean domination again.

If I want to see the best players/Koreans I watch GSL, thats where they play their best because of preperation time and no travel. MLG is an international tournament so there shouldnt be that many Koreans.

Predicting a full Zerg top X, where X is astronomically high.
That, or MKP pulls out the Terran miracle :D

Edit: I don't care about soccer either, so my dilemma is not with the EURO. The GW2 beta week end however...my dual monitor setup will be put to good use...

#1 You're right. Its more 99.8%
#2 No. Poland vs Denmark (both bad like NA Players!) > MLG Final

#1 99.8%? Are you kidding me? Not even germany or england the viewership is that high and I doubt in China/India anyone is even slighly intrested in this. wikipedia says 155 mio., which would be about 2%. Make it 5% for the final.

2# Thats a thing of personal preference, i guess. I would rather watch a 2-hour TvT with Goody and Happy and 40 tanks on each side than a football game, but anyway.

#2.b Denmark and Poland aren´t so bad.

its a going to be a great event and i have my pass however there are way way too many players from one country participating. I shall be cheering all zergs ofc incl Stephano, Koreans and all others, but please please stop this complete swamping of the game by one country as its losing its appeal somewhat. Perhaps next time you have regional qualifiers use the WCS model where they actually have to have residency in that Region.

Very few people would watch Olympics if only USA or Russia participated even though they have dominated the medal rostrum for many decades.
