A protoss going Roach Hydra Corruptors in PvZ, a Terran having no siege tanks when a Muta/Ling/Bling timing comes, has nothing to do with being influenced with BW. Not to be rude towards them, but they play certains odd styles because they don't know how to play the game yet, and not because they have influences from BW. But since the demand for "BW-pros playing SC2" is so high, they'll make them play eachother anyways, Ther's a reason why they just didn't seed them into the Open Bracket but made them play just between themselves. Look. If you don't know who they are, better don't even watch the event with them - it won't be fun for you, just some master-level nonsense in SC2. The whole point of this mini-event is for people who actually know who these players are and expect analysis based on their past and their BW styles of play. Analysis of their transition to SC2 based on what we already know about them from BW.
Apart from Tastosis, there's nobody else capable of doing that there. Perhaps Husky and Bitter can help too, they have BW experience. But it would have been the best to have Day[9] there; he is the most accomplished BW player among these casters.

LOL that's like me saying I won't watch a Dodgers game if Vin Scully isn't casting it, as if I'd stop watching my favorite team solely based on who is casting the game.
Same goes with MLG. I love Day9, but no way I'd miss watching my favorite players just because he's not there.

These Day9 fan boys are fun!
i know a girl who tried to stop her bf from breaking up with her using a "suicide threat".
is any one going to threaten to commit suicide if they don't get Day9 casting this upcoming MLG event ?

Theres tastosis for the bw too...
So many casters and streams... it seems excessive to me.
Gonna be sweeeet. ummm where did you hear that about Rotterdam? I have heard no such things
He said so himself on his stream last night. He's really bummed about it. : (
He said he will be back really soon though. Like a week or 2, he actually mightve said he will be back ina few days not weks, it was liek 430am at the time so -_-; but, yes he is still in NASL! :D

OMG casters lineup! So excited!
Seriously, I will never get why peole care so much about the casters. Its like they are as important as players, seems totally strange to me.

Yea, Day9 isn't going to be there, but I'm not going to shed any tears over that, its not like we need anymore casters or streams with this anyways. If it's true that he wanted to set up his own stream for ad revenue, than good on MLG for not giving into him like that. Although its kind of weird that Husky and Rob Simpson are there without him, I don't remember those 2 ever being at a tourney without him, or without casting with him.

We've got 16 of the world's best, 256 more great players in the Open Bracket, the Blizzard U.S. Nationals AND The KesPA exhibition tournament. If you want to miss that because Day9 isn't there, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Love that husky is back at MLG <3

Do I need to feel bad, because I miss Rotterdam on this list more than Day(9)? Bitterdam is pretty much my favorite caster duo. Still wish him best of luck as a player Rotti!

Surprised to see Jorosar casting stuff, at least the last time I saw him cast, he didn't know a thing about the game pretty much :p

This whole Day9 wanting his own stream thing is a bit funny considering he's casting the CSL finals on their stream and has casted many tourneys on the tourney stream and not his own. He can't be everywhere he wants to be, all the time. Its not the first time he's missed an MLG and there were never these silly conspiracy theories before.
Perhaps he has a deal with redbull that doesn't allow him to work with MLG, perhaps hes tired, perhaps he just wanted a weekend to be able to watch SC2 instead of cast it. Nobody that knows the answer is talking to the public about it and nor should they, if I were day9 i'd be laughing my ass off at all the conspiracy theorists. The conspiracies may be right but who cares, everyone has the right to ask for their price and everyone else has the right to refuse.

Sounds like a fantastic lineup, MLG. If I didn't work all weekend, I'd definitely get a ticket. Maybe I can get my schedule fixed by the next event ^.^ MLG fighting!

If Day 9 has really become the diva some people claim him to be then I glad he's not casting for MLG anymore. I mean I like the guy or at least I used to, but I can't stand people who are so full of themselves that they demand their own stream or else they won't cast for a tournament.

This is gonna be so awesome even without rotterdam and day[9]! The caster hate in this thread is ridiculous though, come on, calm down.

Other casters do it, and the world doesn't end. But that aside, I, as a mid-Masters player on EU, Day9's "analysis" (while casting, since I haven't watched a daily in a long time) feels very insubstantial to me. It's like Cloud said in his vlog, Day9 concentrates on random stuff which is often barely relevant to how the actual game plays out, and in the process misses the important decisions and details of execution that make one player win and the other lose. As opposed to Khaldor and Wolf for example, wherein I always feel like they're focused on the meat of the game, even if Wolf calls every battle incorrectly.
Maybe Day9 does understand the game well, but his casting comes off as "The Sean Plott Show, featuring SC2 in the background". And I feel like the amount of "No Day9, not watching" sentiment in this thread supports this idea. His fans clearly prefer to watch Day9 play Skyrim over the world's best players competing in SC2 in one of this year's largest offline tournaments. So in that sense, he's like the reverse Husky.
Spot on...I'm only high diamond on NA but I learn very little from day9 (even in his instructional dailies, I feel that he stretches out what could be stated simply in 10 minutes into an hour-long fest)...I think his casting is more focused towards the lower leagues which is smart because that represents most of his audience ($$$)!

I beat TotalBiscuit 1v1. I'm not even good.... I don't think he should be allowed to give analysis on pro games.... he doesn't provide much if he admittedly can never get into plat league.

It's all just stupid rumors, I doubt Day9 would be like that. People just want to start drama, don't believe anything you hear until it's from a reliable source. Day9 loves eSports, bottom line, I could never see him doing such a thing. I'm sure if he wanted to use his own stream, he would set up a pro tournament himself, and he's done that before. Idk, so much hate on casters right now.
