It was also interesting when he said coL offered him 3x his dignitas salary, so he went to dignitas and asked if they could at least match half of the new offer. It sounded like he really wanted to stay there.

This RealTalk episode has will have huge connotations for Naniwa's career. This was a great decision to ask JP to be on the show. I can already see many people bandwagoning on to Nani, and i'm glad he broke the portrayal that casted him as the evil villain.

On another note, I really, REALLY, love this show JP. Its by FAR my favorite of all of the talk shows, now even surpassing STOG. Don't ever stop this. Thanks!

Really great interview actually. Good job JP and Nani loved to hear your side of things.

Btw some things NaNiwa said actually makes for a really good argument that we need a player-union when players sign contract with teams. I think back specifically to the Real Talk with 2GD. Where they discussed that matter more in depth.

2GD make it happen! Player-union is the next big step for esports!

Could not agree more. Also super happy he didn't go down on the level of some other guests and shittalked them like they did to him

Yes, that was actually suprisingly mature by him. Especially after how indepth shittalking it had been by one certain guest.

Fantastic interview, the format worked well with Naniwa's style and the fact that he spoke from the heart really helped.

Naniwa's interview was very good. After all the trash that I've heard/read about him, he seems like a pretty normal guy after all...

No Naniwa is the problem. There are plenty of foreigners that practice in Korean team houses, have you ever heard of anything like the ENTIRE TEAM ignoring the player for an entire week? One player disliking someone is one thing but ENTIRE TEAM ignoring you is another. Naniwa is the problem.

I don't think you can prove it that way. You would need to look at other foreign players who were at the MVP house to prove something.

Drewbie and trimaster stayed in the MVP house. I never heard anything from them about being ignored by the whole team. It's just Naniwa.

never heard it, must be true.

I think you're making baseless assumptions and you should stop. We only know one side of the story but we've also heard plenty of other pros going back to BW days about how difficult it can be to live in korean gaming houses.

You should stop, you're coming off as a petty kid with some sort of weird NaNiwa inner hatred.

Drewbie made a 4 20min vlogs of his time in the MVP house. He seemed pretty happy there and never mentioned being ignored or unwelcomed in the videos.

And don't compare BW training houses to Sc2 training houses. They are nothing similar in terms of training regiments.

I am not making baseless claims or have an inner hatred for naniwa. Former managers and teamates have come out and said how terrible naniwa is to deal with. Naniwa is the problem bro.

#1 Naniwa never said MVP was the problem
#2 Trimaster and Drewbie stayed there for a lot less time then naniwa (I think drewbie technically only stayed there for two weeks as he was at GOM house during the Korean hollydays)
#3 The difference between American culture and Swedish culture is probably as big as the difference between Korean and Swedish one.
#4 SaSe recently said exactly the same things as naniwa, but about the startale house as well, he said it was some cultural thing that you never mention what the other person has done wrong but you the group as a whole still gets upset at you for it. Would imply that he's the problem in this case as well?
#5 Your welcome to show us your source on how bw teamhouses differ from sc2 teamhouses.

I agree with you in all things you said, but I will dirrect you to the source you asked for:

Idra talked about it on his Real Talk about how different the Estro house is from the Slayers house (and did so in multiple interviews on the case), repeatedly stating that Slayers is much much much better and looser than Estro was.

Estro was known to be a really "poor" team, did he say anything about CJ Entus?

I find this quote from Rekrul quite interesting where he talks about foreigners in korea progaming houses, and also about Idra:

You can't imagine what it's like to be a progamer in Korea right now. Nony acted like he was fully aware and seemed ready but he obviously wasn't even close to ready. Ret had no idea what he was getting himself into. The reality of these teams is this: Koreans do not think like foreigners at all. They have a set schedule and even if you make some request to break this schedule and your request makes complete sense logically and fundamentally they just won't break or bend their team routine/rules in any way whatsoever especially not for some newbie foreigner who just joined their team. It's just the way koreans are...you either conform to their standards or you get the fuck out.
This is something almost impossible for non-koreans to grasp and is why Idra was able to get along so well after a while...his personality and lifestyle conforms exactly to what they want. He's quiet, mild mannered (except online LOL), and just sits there in his chair playing games all fucking day. He doesn't cause problems in any way. They like this. Nony was having some problems right away with the intensive training schedule and was making requests to estro saying he wants a bit more free time and less playing hours etc or some shit like that. BIG NONO. When you join a Korean team you are there for them, they are not there for you. Of course that does not fit a western mentality but in the progaming world there are far too many upcoming players, and the competition is so intense for them to actually focus their dedication on any player except for a star player. It's up to the newb players to impress them and do what they want. And saying they should try a bit more to help him out because he's non korean is just as retardedly racist as saying they are racist for not helping him.

Yeah IdrA was just stating facts, there was no opinion in there. LOL smarten up bud.

IdrA only does it to build his brand of course, but still it kind of says something about his character given that it's unprovoked (or at least way out of proportion). If Naniwa had done the same thing, idra's fanboys would be out in droves slinging mud at him.

didn't JP directly ask Idra about it? Idra is someone who says how what he thinks. Naniwa claims to be like that too, so wouldn't he do the same if he was asked that? We will never know, as I think JP left some interesting things out. Didn't Naniwa want to come into real talk because of this?

depends.. i would say that if you have 50 good things to say about a person and 10 bad (all true), and you only mention the 10 bad ones youre still shittalking

(im not saying that everything idra said about naniwa was true)

LOL i just spit out my drink when they talk about all the drama surrounding naniwa and then go on to discussing starnation, where naniwa says the guy doesn't seem to have a lot of experience and is trying to paint naniwa as the super villain... and right at that point, JP says "so do you know if there are plans to shoot you?"

i totally took that out of context, rofl.

Really well done JP and tons of respect to Nani for doing this so close to the time of all the drama and addressing all the matters while they are still relevant.
Id love to see more players after the Artosis show, maybe Catz or Qxc, guys with good story's to tell on things that are beyond just the game like Root (for catz) and the GSTL all kill (Qxc).
excellent!
