There were some roumors about VINES joining Empire recently so I can now proudly confirm, that all of this, stated above, is true. Former oGs Player VINES was signed by our team a few days ago, to complete our line-up.
It looked like we lacked in solid Protoss players ever since our team was established in the competitive Cyber-Sports scene. With VINES and TheMista, who joined a couple of days ago, we finally overcame our only weakness, that we didn't have a protoss ace player.
Now, with the pickup of VINES, we are looking forward into an ever brighter future for our team, than we already had. We were able finish several Team Leagues with high ranks in the past and are very confident to do even better now.
I think there should be always be the official source who states about a new player beeing added. Since none of the other posters are part of Empire i did that.
as Empire fan im very happy, and they lacked protoss so thats good, with Kas in EU, Violet in NA, and Vines in KR Empire can trully compete globally. I hope someday they can get korean teamhouse.
I know that Empire isn't part of the the esports federation, but the fact that there was a sort of moratorium among them at least from signing oGS players... idk. I thought it would have signaled to the foreign teams to keep their paws off, at least for awhile.
Empire so beast , still one of my fav foreign teams. Probably in the top if not the top team that i like to watch and Vines is one of my favs to watch on stream too with Beasty and Vines i guess you guys have near my fully undivided attention.

i think viOLet moved back to korea recently or is going soon.
this is awsume! i was never reall a fan of empire cuz they had no toss but now they have one of my favorites! cool! il mak sure to keep watching you guys! gl hf
Kinda surprised that Vines decided not to stick around with his old teammates and make a team with them, but I'm glad to see him on Empire. Looking forward to seeing him kick ass under the Empire banner!
this is nice for empire but i don't like the fact that foreign teams start to sign korean players so much it makes me feel like we are already giving up on the foreigner scene
And here we see, why it was a really awful decision by the esport federation teams, announcing not to sign any ex oGs player. Now the other teams just say "well if you don't want them, then we'll take them for granted. thank you very much!". I don't see oGs reform, so the korean teams have to break down this agreement and go for those very good players!

or you know they could have just wanted to go on a foreign team cuz that's what they feel would be best for their careers zzz
I remember the announcer in the GSL saying his name for the first time. Will never forget how comical that turned out. Great to see a former oGs member finding a great home. Best of luck to both!
Whoooo! This is great! Love all the former oGs players and vines (veen - ezz :D) was one of the most promising, the last of the revered oGs protoss line, so I expect great great things out of him. Hopefully, he can pull a violet and improve massively from his pickup by empire, and start becoming a real force in the world scene!

The best nicks are those which troll the commentators in a subtle way. :D But I hope Empire will be able to start sending out their players to international events soon. As much as they are dominating in team leagues, you don't see them often at live events.
Under the understanding that there's an agreement that Korean teams don't poach oGs players while TheWind tries to get the band back together. Looks like foreign teams don't care?

are you kidding? Please, name us some LANs where there were no Empire players past year?
As far as I know these are the '2' acceptable ways to say it. I guess the 'nus' or 'nes/nez' sound will be differnt per different regions. But he does not go by VINES (Viiines, hard i). The I sounds more like a long 'e' or a 'ie' sound, and the 'nes' at the end seems to sound almost like 'Venus'.
Hopefully his name is pronounced correctly by the masses. And the dude is sick good, could make it out of UpnDwn's into Code S
edit: by far my fav protoss stream to watch if Hero/MC are not streaming. His times work out well for me as well, he generally streams really late for NA, so i can fall asleep with his nice music and smooth gameplay
Hm im more of a Millenium and ROOT fanboy but man u just got to respect team Empire for what they are doing...first Violet (and he takes MLG spring arena) and now Vines. Not to mention the sick terran lineup...Kas,Happy. One of the most solid team in sc2 right now.
Vines is actually a player I love watching...I wish him well going forward with Empire...hopefully he can find success in gsl and other competitions soon
