Sure liquid did it in 2010 with tlo and huk, but eg's done it with idra, puma, huk, and now thorzain Puma was talked to before the finaly, Huk's Dreamhack/HSC3 win was 2-3 months ago and EG signed Thorzain before the finals

You're attempting to sound like you're educated but not only have you not made a point throughout this whole thread but you also sound insane. How can you possibly not care about E-sports yet have a favorite team? How? I don't get how that works. Why are you even posting in this thread if you don't care about E-sports? Why? And do you seriously, like no joke, think that Thorzain is some brain dead idiot who can't make decisions for himself? Do you seriously think you know whats better for Thorzain then Thorzain? Really? Make 1 valid point. Instead of trying to sound smart, be smart. You sound like a completely insane idiot. Hes a 21 year old grown man. Let me burst your insane bubble, you don't know everything. In fact, if you really believe in the stuff you have been spewing in this thread, get help, fast. And you provide some arguments ? Your whole post consists of insults, name-calling and you made basically no point whatsoever. Hypocrisy much ? Your whole post is disjointed mess of insults and putting words in my mouth. Anyway, teams can exist without professional e-sports. So why would it be a problem to have emotional investment in a team and not care about professional e-sports ? Also, emotional investment does not mean I am emotionally invested in everything that has to do with a team. People are often more sad when team loses in a match than when team disbands, funny how human emotions work in sports. It is like emotions are irrational sometimes, who would have thought ? Rest of your angry rant has nothing to do with my posts so I will take them as you venting some issues.

It's more EG's preoccupation with hugely salaried white guys that makes the Yankees comparisons particularly apt in their case. Also, the comparison originated after EG's poaching of TL's HuK, in case you've forgotten, which makes calling TL the big-guy poaching team a bit less than fitting. While I think EG is really just poaching players, I do have to point out that both HuK and Thorzain's contracts were expiring. They were available to be targeted, and subsequently, were. I still think it's a dirty practice to go after other teams star players and throw money at them to get them on your side. Reminders me of the Yankees. Edit: I said dirty, and I mean that morally. Obviously there is nothing wrong with pursuing a free agent.

That counts for both Huk and Thorzain. The method by which a player is acquired can make a tremendous difference in how different teams are perceived; I think we all know that. Contractually, no, there is no difference obviously.

Contractually, no, there is no difference obviously. Why is it any different? In real life do you quit your job before looking for a new one? I don't think anyone is that dumb. It's not like mouz is surprised, I'm sure they know he was talking to other teams in order to find the contract best suitable for him. Same goes with HuK (I'm pretty sure Liquid had the chance to match or near-match EG's offer). It's a perception issue but I don't think anyone should actually care. Simple fact is it's great that both EG and Liquid have the resources to bring in top-tier talent.

He really encapsulates our experience as Terran players. I actually really got into this game from TSL 3. Call me silly, but that series changed my life in a small way. Here I was in grad school, screaming with excitement at this game of sc2. I almost felt bad for my neighbors in the complex, but SCREW YOU THIS IS TSL 3. Never has a series been as vibrant and shattering for me as a player. To have Thorzain still playing makes me so happy. He is A Terran personality that will stay with us for the ages.

It clearly says that they talked to him about joining before dreamhack. Please get all info you can before saying this and that. It makes for a better world, or forum if you want.

But you forgot about the part where TL was a godsend created on Day 6, while EG was a byproduct of Adam and Eve eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. So what you said is moot.

There's also the fact that where most teams would probably abandon a player after something like the probe rush at blizzard cup but quantic stuck through with naniwa.
