EG not good enough for GSTL though, only players that are good enough to even win a match against Code B players are Huk and thorzain. JYP and Puma have been struggling in korea for a long time now. Stacked teams like slayers will just need to send out players like MMA to all kill them.
Lol? Stacked teams like Slayers? Slayers didnt even make top 4 Season 1 GSTL...Jyp is a former Code S player, Puma can take games off anyone, Thorzain has promise and was highly regarded ( still is ) as the best foreign terran, Huk can come back at any moment and regain that Code S play he once had, Idra and demuslim as well... That is 6 players worthy of at least code A, plenty enough for GSTL.
EDIT: And what ever happened to that "Eg house in korea" that was announced around the time of huks signing? If it was just the slayers cooperation that is a huge let down..

Congratulations! Can't wait to see him play with the EG tag.

Gratz, really nice addition to the team. Hopefully is calmness and kind attitude will help IdrA get up and be a baller again.
Gratz again.

Awesome video, and interesting news.

This is great!!! Congratulations both Thorzain and EG!

ThorZAIN will be the first and only player I will cheer for on EG. EG sucks, but I hope Marcus gets what he deserves.
|
This news deeply saddens me. EG is a commercial team with no spirit, Mouz was one of the top european team with "local" players, it is a shame that they just lost one of the their best element. What you can do with money...
|
Omg a video to welcome him, how baller
|
Great video !! Congrats for both Thorzain and Evil Geniuses. they need to step up their game.
|
EG, the place where pro-gaming careers go to die. Was nice knowing you Thorzain.
|
Best announcement video ever!! Congratulation EG & Thorzain!

a player like Thorzain deserves all good that happens to him. Happy to see EG having him in the boat.
If a player like Thorzain has to think wether to play the game or leave and start a career somewhere else ... well you see the current state of esports in EU and NA , its nice money for a skilled guy for some time... doesnt seem so good in the long run.
if you put results you win good money (not great) , otherwise you just survive ; time goes by for everyone and Progaming definitely paints you an unclear future...

On topic, gl to both, feel like Thorzain should be a new kickstart for EG's results, seems needed those days If you actually cared for ThorZain's well-being you would wish he quit SC2 and went to school. And I couldn't care less about esports. Because you know what's best for Thorzain better than he knows himself, right? Yes. well considering huk is reportedly paid 6 figures... i think its not that bad How long can he keep that up ? From economical (which I am arguing from) standpoint your best bet is going to school. Of course from general point of view I cannot know what is best for ThorZain. But school is statistically your best bet anyway in nearly all scenarios.

Dude, that's pretty intense. GL to him and EG! On an American team :o Pretty great lineup they got going.

You have no idea how long I just screamed WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!
This something interesting. Very interesting indeed. Evil Genius never more fitting.
Speechless.

Wow, didn't see that one coming!
Grats Thorzain, wish u the best of luck with your new team.
Keep owning! :-)

now that was probably EG's best home brewed video to date. It was well acted (Gj incontrol) had a nice concept and great execution. I really, really liked that video, made me very happy for EG and Thorzain. Well done!

(mainly because i would have never made it at sc:bw anyways. ;-) )

Oh man this is incredible! Congrats to EG and Thorzain! Really, really excited to see Thorzain play for EG.
