Its something on your site. I just ask for debug rights and windows dont give them.
It must be a security tool or setting in windows ...

On the computer of interest, start gpedit.msc. The focus is local computer by default.
Traverse the following path:
Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Security Settings, Local Policies, and User Rights Assignment.
Find "Right to debug programs" and add your account.

Your data from before your promotion is great. We get a chance to see live the moving average MMR of a player who get promoted. We don't know how many games Blizzard looks back to calculate your moving average, but nm that.
Not sure where you get the 901 MMR number from. All your games from before the promotion and few games after it are in the data and you got promoted into GM with MMR of around 1060 and moving average around 1k or so (hard to tell accurately since your last 3 opponents lost -1 vs you and won +23)
It sure is hard to get into GM mid season...

I wonder how the MMR is scaled. What MMR does the average player have? It seems to be kinda like chess with an average player having 1500 points and GM 2600 points if I'm not wrong. That makes me feel good about my 2200 points lol

Windows Home Premium doesn't come with local policy or group policy editors. But the administrator accounts do come with debug privileges. You can check this by running process explorer which needs debug and it works fine.
Something about running java as admin is causing the issue with debug?

For the time being, skeldark's MMR tool is using semi-placeholder values. The relative scaling should be fairly close to what SC2 uses in reality, but I believe in his model 1500 is close to the ladder mean. If it turns out that 1000 is the actual number, then you wouldn't have 2200 anymore, you'd have something like 1800. Once we figure out all of the offsets and how they interact, these values will be updated.

Middle gold is middle mmr.
Our offsets are not final and will change a little bit.
At start offset ( bronce t0 ) we can put in what ever we want.
I could put startvaluesm, so that middle gold is 1500.
This would not change the accuracy.

What antivirus are you running? Can you try disabling it and see if it helps?

I wonder how accurate this MMR really is. Because I won 9 games against Diamond opponents in a row not affecting the graph at all. Then I lost 7 time in a row and I felt down quite heavily. Is this normal? (I'm mid - high diamond according to ladder points although I still get some High Platinum opponents)

Running Security Essentials, its usually quite verbose and I haven't seen any warning but i'll try that tomorrow.

As Diamond has 7 tiers, it might take some extra time for it to be sure about your tier?
Anyway, it takes a lot of time to get promoted to every league but masters, so it's normal you face high plats that are actually diamonds that haven't got the promotion yet.

Its way more accurate than ladderpoints.
So if you are mid-high dia in points this say nothing about where you are really in diamond.
That is the reason we make all this.

Yes. the options is only there because of history and for the guys who care for their dmmr for whatever reason.

I've looked around, but I'm still not totally sure, so I'll ask: is Tier 0 the one in that division getting max "free" ladder points, or is it the one getting none? Am I right saying that the one getting less "free" points should be the one having an average higher MMR, and thus being closer to promotion?

The problem is that we (excalibur , sdream, me¬hat ) use diffrent names.
1) See it more like; they dont give free points , they steal less points
T0 = lowest offset in the division = most points stolen = highest skill ( at the moment of promotion only)
Most have higher mmr compare to all players in other tiers in same league.
Because you cant switch tiers the mmr of the promotion day counts.
I give them the points back blizzard take away
This is all taken into account in the graph so you are where the dot is and dont have to calculate your tier in.
Blzzard calc your mmr than use the f funtion to change your points, than give you bonuspoints than take away the offset of your league than take away the offset of your tier.
We undo all of this to find the mmr again.

Yeah I'm a Diamond player and it is not always obvious the correlation between winning/losing and the graph behavior. I will often see my MMR go down during a winning streak and up during a losing streak. However I trust it is still better than nothing and the creators are continuing to improve the accuracy.
