Eh. Korea is a BW country TBH; SC:BW is still one of the most played games where as SC2 as a lot more niche. Completely doing away with BW at this time seems like a very foolhardy idea. At the least they should keep it in proleague and have SC2 alongside. I don't like this shift at all, and I only joined TL because of SC2.

it seems that non-KeSPA/GSTL players will have the ability to compete in OSL once they transition to SC2. as for proleague, the situation is less clear, probably no foreigners there if i had to guess.

Pretty cool, I think this is the final move to makes SC2 become the biggest e-sport game out there. The game needs higher level and more attentions/leagues to compete.

Judging from how its transitioning, the only way foreigners get to play in Proleague is to be in a Korean team.

Although cant exempt that there is a chance that foreign teams will have the ability to compete, I don't know how GSL Proleague works... Actually I dont even know how GSL or anything SC2 related works; besides the fundamentals as I'm a long diehard Brood War fanboy.

I honestly don't see TBLS enjoying the same dominance they enjoyed in BW. I know this has been discussed to death in other threads, but I'm just afraid all the hype surrounding the best BW players will only result in disappointment and somehow tarnish the achievements and legends they've built over the years.

This is pretty exciting, imo. Kind of bitter sweet with BW being phased out 100%; however, I think in the long run it was inevitable with blizzard in the picture.

I think it will be interesting to see how proleague goes. With OSL being SC2 only, I think lots of current KeSPA players will focus solely on SC2. I hope we don't see a skill decline in BW for its (probable) last league.

Games like Special Force, Sudden Attack and LoL just to name a few are way more popular then SC2 in Korea. Its just SC2 has a bigger market for expansion and sponsorship and maybe LoL too.

Finally all the pro players will play the same game!

Good that they are planning for a full switch to SC2 after this seasons pro league. Mixing the two games is an awful idea. Either have BW or SC2 but not both on the same time!

This is really exciting but it also makes me really nervous because I am deathly afraid that Kespa/OGN will not hold open qualifiers for any individual leagues they might create and that they will keep things closed off instead of letting any player or team of a high enough skill level compete. I sure hope they won't still require progaming licenses.

Pretty so many BW fans are saying they are going to play LoL.. Also websites like Daily e-Sports (KeSPA friendly) do not know what to do as they used to put down Gretech a lot. Fomos is negative about it too.. PlayXP and Thisisgame are the websites who are glad about this
