According to the following articles:
http://esfiworld.com/news/vile-gaming-out-mcsl-undergo-change-management
http://mcsl.evilgeniuses.net/News/?news=37
There has apparently been a change in ownership and management for Vile Gaming, which includes players such as Illusion, State, ChAnCe, DdoRo, Spanishiwa, HasHe, Psy, etc. Furthermore, Team Vile has withdrawn their participation from the EG MCSL, and thus will forfeit all future matches in this teamleague, so that they can spend more time focused on restructuring the team. There is a strong possibility of roster changes.
|
|
Don't see why they wouldn't just finish off the season and sit out the next one.
|
Disappointing indeed. Hoping to see good things out of Vile as I've been a fan for a while - but I hope their 'restructuring' leads to a stronger more focused team. I'm nervous, but I'll wait and see.
|
I wonder what "these changes may result in a significant roster shakeup as well" will mean. I guess we have to wait and find out!
|
This is so dumb definitely something i'm not looking forward to. But hey, that's new management for you...
|
When team Reign disbanded, I believe the players agreed on their own to play out the rest of the league.
Sucks to hear Vile pull out of the league, hopefully this pull is because they're going to train in 300x gravity and become supersaiyans.

If PsY is kicked off of this team, I swear to GOD I will go the Vile HQ and destroy them >:D

Why? How does PsY benefit from being with them? If anything PsY has given them tons of exposure.
|
Weird. I've met several guys from the team, including the old manager/owner/guy who started it whatever... What I liked about the team was that they were really grassroots but had a ton of talent. Hope not too much changes :/ Don't see why they can't finish out the season, it's not like the individual players are going anywhere.

Roster changes? Liquid`Illusion (jk)
hopefully some good things come out of this for the players. they were one of my fave MCSL teams to watch though :/
|
Sad news indeed. I don't know much of whats going on, however I do know that their owner was doing it all out of pocket for a long time. Mad respect for doing it, its so hard to make it as an up and coming team. You simply won't make a profit anyway you look at it for YEARS. I really hope it works out for everyone involved. Great team, great people.

Other than Illusion, that roster reads like a list of semi-popular players from 2010 that fell off the map a long time ago.

must be pretty serious if theyre ditching mid season Hope things work out for them

Actually, the team was finally getting recognition, and was far from being considered "washed up". State is a very strong player (solid performances in IPL TAC and EG MCSL), as is ChAnCe (had an incredible run through one of IPL 3's online qualifers, taking out players like MKP 2-0), and DdoRo (pool play at MLG Orlando). Even Spanishiwa, whom many feel is past his prime now that he has entered university, managed to make the championship brackets at IPL 3 and MLG Providence, all while taking classes at UC Davis. Vile is a strong team, and while the future looks dubious, I hope they can remain just as strong, if not stronger through this restructuring.
|
I hope most of the team stays together.
Oh I don't know if you guys have noticed, but all of the members of Vile have incredible tastes in music. IMO the best out of all the streamers.
|

PsY rarely even plays and doesn't take SC2 seriously in the least bit. I like the guy, but Vile wouldn't be missing anything if he left, competitively speaking.

I would say state is just as strong as illusion is, and ddoro can't be taken lightly either...
|
They worked so hard to get in, weird to see them withdrawal even given the circumstances.
|
Damn, hope everything is good with Vile, one of my favorite teams. They have quite a bit of talent, would hate to see them fall apart.

As much as I love Vile, they didn't actually do anything to get in. Weren't they the team that got the popular vote?
|
Wow this sucks, I've always loved Vile and use to really enjoy HasHe's stream. Goodluck to the team and hope things can be worked out well.

The people who are taking control of Vile are left to take over, and so it's a different situation. The new management also has to take into consideration that player changes are possible and they can't do anything about it.

Sounds like a shitty situation. Vile reminded me a lot of the old ROOT. Hope it won't end up the same way.

Fwiw, Illusion is signed up to that MSI tournament under the name "REALIllusion".
|
bummer. definitely wish they wouldn't have to pull out of EG MCSL regardless of their results.
|
Sad to hear, I hope things work out. If not, most players should find good homes - especially illusion!
|
Vile's the team I wanted to be good enough to join some day. Hope they don't go under.

I liked Vile, I wonder what's going on D:

if illusion leaves vile its almost certain that eg is going to pick him up, hes a korean-american who speaks fluently in korean and hes already one of the best na players(and at such a young age).. hes definitely a player that they can build around for many years to come
they might also pickup state because he practices alot with the eg players and hes a very good player aswell, ddoro is also very good

I hate to just speculate, but I'd have to say that if the team restructures and changes around its players, it might be the end of vileSpanishiwa, who was one of my favorite players, but seems to be really into DotA2. He said that he might get back into SC2 though, so that makes me a happy camper.

more like EGIllusion, if all of the recent tweets from EG, carmac, vilehawk are alluding to the same thing

I hope this restructuring isn't like TSL's, where the team gets completely gutted.

Hope Vile can work things out. They are a good team

one of my favorite teams. hope they work through the restructuring and keep the players/personalities i love. glgl vile and all involved.

Hm I wonder how this is gonna change things for Vile...I really like their streaming & players (HasHe, Illusion, Ddoro etc). IMO they have so much underrated talent... Here's to hoping the best for Vile :-) I really hope everything stays EXACTLY THE SAME!

I've played PsY twice now on ladder, and both times he lost and said something somewhat BM. Last one TvZ he ends it with "Good unit" and exits. Guy is a joke. And that's coming from a beta player who used to watch his YouTube videos religiously. Now? He's just another ladder imba whiner if you ask me.
|
Well this blows, been a fan of vile for a while now. Hopefully the roster stays the same.
|
Doesn't really affect the tournament so I don't see the big deal as far as the Master's Cup goes.
They were the second lowest team in the regular season and thus had no chance of making it to the Playoffs. Their final round match is against SlayerS which is the first ranked team. Their dropping out has no impact on the other teams in tournament at this point.
Hopefully the change in ownership works out well for them.
|
Noo what's going on guys?

LOL are you kidding? PsY has always BMed. His whining has gotten worse as he stopped playing the game as much, but he has always whined and BMed.

Team change or vile disbanding?

Would like more info on the situation. Doesn't look like a good situation though.

Definitely looks like a team change, but that doesn't exclude the other possibility.
I'm interested to see where he goes.
|
I love Vile!
|
This makes me sad, Vile was always one of those small teams that has very promising talent. I am a big fan of State and Spanishiwa(still) and Illusion is really good as well.
Hopefully this change winds up strengthening Vile, so I can keep rooting for my favorite "underdog" team!
GL to everyone though
|
didn't like anyone one their team but I dont understand why they would just withdraw completely from the EG masters cup. There is no harm in just finishing out the tournament for prides sake. Bad form by the new management.
|
REALIllusion.
I see what he did there. Heheh.
But seriously though, EGIllusion would be absolutely baller.
|
EG Illusion would be amazing for illusion and EG. Team house practice, good pay and mad opportunities for illusion and a home grown, english/korea speaking, motivated players? EG best be all over dis.

Lol, this may well be true but only because most people really listen to garbage. The same k-pop songs are being played for months on most korean streams, so it's always refreshing not to hear them.
I hope the team doesn't die either, they're by far my favorite team and I'm practicing hard so I can join a team like that myself. Illusion is such a great streamer, the stream quality, his play, his commentary.... it's a shame he's been so inactive lately.
