I most definitely will be road tripping this from Moncton, New Brunswick, I hope they deliver :-D. But I'm pretty certain they will... it seems they're doing the right changes to legitimise the Nasl even more, just Bitterdam alone is great, and by the looks of the caster interview video of Mr. Bitter, they're taking care of making the production more dynamic and pro...

I'll be there! Woohoo this is awesome! Last eSports event I went to in Toronto was MLG Toronto years ago, and a couple WCG Canada qualifiers. This is exciting!

I live in London, 2 hours away, would love to go! But I don't think I would have a way of getting there. I don't wanna take a bus

Should definetly have happened in montreal. People from montreal are party animal, evrything is open all night long, could have had great barcraft opportunitys, the night life is much more interesting, and montreal is pretty open minded, not that toronto isnt, but its different.. anyway. I am not gonna drive 6 hours to go to toronto, this city is boring.

You know.. having party animals and crazy wild night isn't all that good. Toronto is great choice as it is the "center" of Ontario and many (tons) people will be able to attend. Having good night life does not equal to good event.

i live in Toronto and i basically agree.

I dunno what part of Toronto you live in... maybe... Etobicoke, where there is nothing? Downtown Toronto never sleeps. Random festivals/afterparties are happening every week. Gypsy 2am dance parties in the streets!

downtown Toronto is a small part of the city.
relative to Montreal... Toronto is boring.

ever been to a hockey, basketball, baseball football game in toronto.
its like being in an elevator with 19,000 people.

Ever been to a baseball or basketball game in Montreal?

Oh yeah, I forgot -- Montreal has shit-all.

Seriously though, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Grew up in the suburbs north of Toronto, and now live and Vancouver. And honestly, Toronto is great. It's a huge metropolis with major sports teams, and a huge, well-funded arts and culture community. Vancouver and Montreal are cute and all, but it makes most other cities look like in North America (aside from Chicago, LA, New York) look like small potatoes.

You might think Montreal is more exciting, but honestly it's because you live in Toronto. Grass always seems greener somewhere else.

lol, a TO vs. MTL debate. Had to expect that one. Fact of the matter is, Montreal is pretty groovy. I've lived there and plan maybe on moving back soon. But Toronto is an option also. Both cities got some pretty sweet things going for them. It all depends on what you like with your big city life. People should just be happy that we canadians got our SC2 event, should show the world that we, as part of the SC2 community, love the game, and that we appreciate the NASL thinking about us. That said, instead of the bickering, we should just rock the crap out of TO when the finals come here. No riots please, lol.

Silly question, but what exact is this going to be? By ''finals'' I think of ''a single match''. Share me some knowledge?

In all seriousness. Where's the drinking contest going to be held? I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned this yet. O.o

its funny that you consider MLB baseball and/or NBA basketball important...
watching 2 teams that never have a prayer of winning anything is exciting? lolz.

i'd rather go to Christie Pitts on a saturday afternoon than the concrete convertible.

i've lived in montreal for 10 years, toronto for 13 years, and chicaago for 1.5 years.
montreal is more fun than toronto.

Guys shut up with the Montreal vs. Toronto debate.

Both cities are awesome and have their bonuses. I agree Montreal's night life is better. But does that make Toronto's night life shit? No. You can find places to party in Toronto til 6 am if you really wanted to. There are a few afterhours clubs you can go to. And besides, you could always make a trip to Niagara Falls (1.5 hour drive from downtown Toronto... hell 100% of the time I am willing to go to Niagara late at night to gamble/party... so I'd take you).

Just be happy we are going to have a huge SC2 event up in Canada. Hopefully others will see how awesome it is and host stuff up here more often. I encourage anyone within a few hours of Toronto to make the trip.

Accomodations are easy to find since it's the summer time. Take a look at UofT residences. They are mostly empty and willing to do large group rates. I think I still know some people there and can help you guys check availability/book.

Anyways, let's all rejoice and be happy, friendly Canadians like we were born to be.
