I think you are mistaken. Taeja is terran. jk jk
I also do not get how ppl can be upset just because their american based knight in shiny armor has not come yet...
Sheth anyone? He´s the manner grizzley and an excellent player - what more do you want? Considering he is "just" training in the US he is a hell of a player and representing the US pretty well.
Liquid looking pretty scary to be honest.

OMFG!!!!
That is hugeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Welcome to TL Taeja, exactly what TL needs

WHOOOOAAAAAAAH. This is awesome. Taeja is an amazing player (and now I feel extra-bad for liquibetting against him ). Liquid finally with terran presence. Hopefully Taeja can also help Jinro out of his year-long slump and back to Code S semi-final awesomeness! Gratz Taeja on finding such a great team and gratz Liquid on picking up such a great player!

At least he stays with Blue T-shirts
*edit:awesome typo

WOOOOOOO i didn't see this one coming, jesus christ this is top shit! This so MEGA FUCKING AWESOME !~ TAEJA FIGHTING

this is not true at all, in most sports teams have mostly local players. If they are contracting forgeigners they do so because they the absolute top, (and this is not the case with sc, the koreans contracted are just below the absolute top, though arguably still alot better then near anny european player)
Actually, this is not true. Soccer leagues in Japan and other Asian countries have B tier Brazilian/Euro players on their rosters all the time... Same with Euro Basketball, some good college players that don't make it to NBA goes to Greece, Russia to play...
The top Greece Basketball team (PANATHINAIKOS) has 5 Americans, an Australian, and other Europeans on their team.

Awesome Korean toss, zerg and now terran on liquid.

I`m kinda split-divided about it. On the one hand he is an astounding player and the team will benefit from him on the other hand I don`t like the feeling of seeing Liquid play cws with 3 Koreans plus one of Ret/Sheth/TLO/Jinro or Haypro. Also I have the impression that some players are getting pretty obsolete. Well but nevertheless I will cheer and support for Taeja despite my concerns. Also I`m sceptical if adding more and more players is compatible with the family approach of TL. @Vthree: That`s true but in spain at least there are rules for a minimum of local players in basketball. In German Football there is a rule for having a minimum of 12 players that are elligible to play for the national team (or have a German passport, not totally sure) and there are similar cases in other countries. Teams are also forced to provide good training conditions for the development of young talents. Of course there have been many cases where a team regularly fields 10 foreigners plus a GK but those teams are usually despised as merc-teams. Also for many of the very best football teams their success is based on having a core of players that stem from the teams own youth.

Objectively he is a brilliant player and liquid needs another terran, it all makes perfect sense. If race is someones only objection to the player then they have issues. Manny people see liquid as a european team, or at least a western team if you also include usa and canada. They would off course like liquid to have eurpean or at least western players, its much easier to root for a team if you can identify with its players and for europeans its much easier to identify themselves with european players then korean player nr 42. Its alot easier for korean players in general to get teams, there are manny teams in korea and they all well organised and sponsored. For european and american players its more difficult to get a pro team, (also because their skill level is somewhat lower then the koreans, beside maybe the top 3 western players) and they would never ever be able to get in a korean team. Manny people would like liquid and other western team to support their local players instead of korean players so that the western scene can get ahead, contracting a korean instead of a western player is exactly doing the opposite. It does add verry little for the korean scene as a whole, while it does take away alot from the western scene. Maybe 1 korean is ok, so that we can learn from him but having near half the team korean is realy not the way to go for anny western team imo disclaimer: i have nothing against koreans, MKP is my favorit player While it may be easier for Koreans to join teams, many of them do not receive a salary however. The only thing I think is upsetting is that Taeja is only getting this much attention because he joined Team Liquid, not because he's a great player, which he has been for quite some time now and I think it's a shame that people did not bother to notice that untill now.

Fuck ya! Teaja has soooooo much potential (hence why Boxer would pick him up) and with his mentality I think he will do great. He has the ability to be the best player on Liquid. Can't wait to see him in more tournaments. What will be his first tournament as a liquid player? IPL?

So Taeja is going to live in the oGs house?
|
Congratulations on the pickup!
The one thing that worries me is that his practice environment will suffer if he moves to the liquid-ogs house. I think everyone agrees that the slayers house is the best place to be for any terran (and he also said in an interview that it was slayers that allowed him to get to code S), and liquid doesnt have much terrans he can discuss with.
Nonetheless, good luck in code S!!

Taeja for some reason reminds me of Leta in his style of play and I've always really enjoyed watching him play. He's so tactical and precise. What a great pick up for Liquid! LIQUID HWAITING!

Finally second terran player for TL, I'm happy about that.
