Erm why are people shunning TB's hat ... I know this is a SC2 forum but is Esports limited to SC2 only? TB helps grow Esports as a whole not just SC2 ... the poll shouldve been title somethins like "TL Starcraft Braket" then according to you haters?

I'm torn in choosing between DayJ and TB so im not voting for that, good run to the semis though to the both of you :-)

chances of butthurt being given is pretty slim. no way an awful gold league british youtube caster with a stupid hat is going to win this.

How can he come so far? Because he is quite popular, doing a great job. And he also has a great fanbase that doesnt soleley exist of starcraft memes and nerds.^^ Tastosis maybe is sort of famous, known and kowledged among non starcraft players. Same goes for Day9
I really like starcraft, but i never have gotten that deep into that scene. I dont know poopfeast (well i understand it now^^), i never experienced idra rage, i dont know much about the "Boxer meets Grack" meme. But i know Tophat. His casts are entertaining and he has a good amount of kowledge and quite a good judgement about esports in general. You dont need to be a good starcraft player to be a good and entertaining caster. There is another thread here on tl discussing quite a similar topic wether or not to set a dedicated observer next to the caster for showing the action smoother.

May vote today will switch from Tophat to the Trumpets. Why? Day9 and his trumpets combine the needed image that esports need. A good caster, with a good sense of humor. He shows which hard work is involved to communicate all this (humor, knowledge, entertainment,) to the broad masses. For Newbies on Newbie Tuesday, the fun games on funday monday, the deep analyses, and the crowd hyping emotions he can incite in the viewers hearts with his comments on tournament casts.
He is an excellent caster. And good caster are needed for esports.
*mini fanboy mode off*

Tophat is good too, with entertaining casts, and even organising his own priced small invitational tournaments, but he is not yet such a good caster as day9 or tastosis.

I just vote for the underdogs. The word esports has no meaning in itself. It's just a superfluous word that's thrown around way too often on these forums. When do you ever see other sports like rugby condemning similar sports like American football?
