This is one of those situations where the saying "I would pay money to see that" is actually relevant. I would pay money to see that, seriously i would chip in some dollars.
"Code A followed by Code S. And that spells "as", but is that as excited as i am? I dunno Tasteless".

most of the fun comes from the players putting up the money themselves though

I see naniwai actively posting and seeking this out.

Where is your precious French Zerg?

Spitting trash on twitter, then gets called on it and hides? Doesnt bode well for the french stereotypes.

Stephano is well known for never visiting community sites or knowing anything about the drama, but you would have needed to use your brain before hand, americans

Dont say things you dont know..

Stephano has said in his stream that he watches tournaments and visit TL. For example he watched IEM SP

I dont know why people keep saying Stephano doesnt care about things.. jesus.. if he doesn`t care why does he play monobattles with his fans... Once he said he didnt know the legend of BW, but he never played this game and even if he did his soul was still in WC3, so its understable

Stephano is no doubt busy with the nice ladies of Austin.... he is after all the biggest star in sc2

Or was it Naniwa that had 13000 stream viewers two days in a row last week?

He'll come find you soon enough.....try not to look too desperate while you wait :-)

Whenever I imagine Stephano vs another foreign Protoss, I'd immediately give him an 80%+ chance to win.

...versus Nani though... well, he's the exception, isn't he? Although I would still say Stephano is the favourite, it's way closer than it would be against any other foreigner I can think of right now... would love to see this showmatch if it were to happen

Only problem is, I don't know who to cheer for lol, Stephano has been my favourite player for several months now, yet as a Toss and a Swede at the same time... well, it's 'bout even lol

Stephano had something similar last week when he was commentating on his play, your point?

I think Stephano is in his borther's house at Austin, and today it's his birthday. So maybe he's got some real life and is not on twitter every 5 minutes ? TT

Btw you doesn't bode well for the american stereotypes. (general stupidity, speak before thinking, etc. )

So he's dodging. Fantastic.

I don't really care where you're from, when you publically call another player a pussy, then hide when he accepts said challenge, that is bad form. Stop making excuses for Stephano.

Wasn't it nAni who was apparently dodging before? Or maybe he was just being smart and waiting for Stephano to throw in a big enough of a bet ;o

I'm not defending anyone, but if it's the guy's birthday and he's spending it with his family, wtf are you expecting him to do today, be online the whole day and chat?

If he's still silent by Wednesday, then flame away.

I agree, if the money comes from any source but the players own pockets and if it's not all or nothing the match loses everything that makes it interesting, it's just another boring showmatch then.

That was irony from dsousa, who is a Stephano fan. He was saying Stephano is the star because he had 13k viewers, and not Naniwa :D

If this will happen, they need to inform their teams to market and promote the hell out of this.
If the players are putting this much on the line and such high profile players, it can bring in more viewers than NASL finals.
It would lose appeal if the teams put up the money instead of the players, but if the profit from the show-match goes back to the players it would be alright. That being said, if the teams just put up the money silently, it could still keep it's appeal, and it would be an amazing promotional opportunity, if properly utilized.

According to the OP, Stephano started the drama. lol.

You'd think if he's going to call out Naniwa, he'd also have enough sense to know that TL would pick up on it and make it into a big deal! Especially when the stakes became pretty high...

I seriously wonder about these two putting up this kind of money where everyone who isn't a fan boy is putting the odds at about even (+/- 5%). Is have no idea who could win and nor, I think, does anyone else.
I really hope Stephano actually agrees to do this though, it could be awesome. I know he hasn't been on twitter or anything but you figure that after issuing a challenge like that he would at least check...ah well, I'm rooting for Naniwa, the way he has handled this is actually really funny. If his trash talking in this thread wasn't so fun I wouldn't really care about who took this. Both these guys are really good players and have annoying public personas.
Make this happen. Soon.
TL Mafia. Love it. Play it. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/index.php?show_part=31 I find Kennigit really attractive. If anyone has a picture of him please feel free to PM it to me.
