Why not, the person who got shot didnt die. Katu tried to kill dragons name. Obviously people who were already fans or know about the incident know that katu was retarded and wont be affected by his comments. but as you can see in this thread, lots of people believe what katu say is true, and now more people are even accusing dragon of stream cheating. Trying to destroy someones career is much worse then being shot and injured. They are nowhere near the same thing. If you really believe so then I didn't realize that there were people as ignorant as you. I would go on, but I'd rather not waste my time on stupidity.
You shouldve gone on, so i could telll you that i was just trolling and apologize.

Nice, then all I'll have to do is get a police officer to shoot, but not kill, you and we can call it even. I mean, 'coz obviously they're the same thing.

as long as i get compensated by the city, i really dont mind. Itll most likely be more than a million. Shooting me and not killing me is really better than someone running around the community destroying your name.

this thread is ridiculous, just a lazy copy paste from reddit with a bunch of flame, im just waiting for the mods to get here...

Just watched it. lol Only in the sc2 community do histrionic basement dwelling neckbeard fanboys like the op get to voice their opinions and be taken seriously. Get a life. Nothing bad happened in that stream.

What's wrong with neckbeards? I think they are quite fashionable.

I don't mind it, Dragon is a bit of a troll himself.... and well the caster trolled him.
The troll got trolled!
I thought it was quiet funny, and yes I am a fan of Dragon as well. Too many of you are blowing this way out of proportion.
Drama Llamas!

Katu was incredibly unprofessional. You can tell the reason why he kept "trolling" Dragon was to purposefully anger the audience, and egg them on. You can tell he doesn't give two cents about Dragon and disrespected him outright, regardless of whether you think he was trolling or plainly insulting him. This is slander. The context doesn't matter.
On the flip side, he apologized as soon as he realized the chat and other casters actually wanted to strangle him. He cleaned up properly and continued with the cast as best as he could. Time to move on.
The situation was dealt with hastily, and a deal to sponsor Dragon to IPL is just a bribe. I don't think Dragon should take it.

He said that after everyone in chat was getting pissed and you could tell from the fellow casters voice and comments that it was getting serious. During the rant he seems totally serious, saying that its all true and they are living in a fantasy world if they dont believe it. You can tell as the cast goes on that he tries to make light of it, saying he was just joking etc because it was getting serious. He even said that some of the Playhem mods weren't defending him, but were upset as well. Trying to turn it into a joke was the best way for him to get out of it with minimum repercussions, anyone with an ounce of sense can tell thats what happened. Go watch it again, with less bias.

Put away your pitchforks, chill out, learn to take a joke, even if it's a bad or tasteless joke. You do realize that him and the rest of the party only followed it up as him trolling to get him out of the muck? If you go by his tone and what he said during the cast, it's kind of obvious he wasn't trolling at first. He actualy sounded like he had some grudge against Dragon, for being a cheat in the past? IDK but Katu generally sounded like he wanted to bash him there and then. So I was really confused why people were actually getting mad when the caster explicitly stated he was trolling DURING the troll. Apparently this is where the confusion is coming in, because people actually believe he was serious, which is ridiculous in my opinion.
I went back and rewatched it, starting at the 4 hour mark, and I came to the exact conclusion as before. Look at these quotes:
"Apparently the reason he lost is because he's lagging, not because he went for 3 command centers against a roach rush." <---- OBVIOUS SARCASM. THIS IS WHERE HE STARTS TROLLING CHAT. "You are making them so mad" "Dude I hope they get mad, eat it." "Hahahaha, this is awesome." "You made them so angry." "Pretty good man, I'm pretty proud of myself."
All of these comments are BEFORE the 4:10 mark.
His very first mention of stream cheating was clearly a joke. If you don't get that.... I mean he said it after dragon dropped his third CC DURING the roach rush, so clearly it was an absurd suggestion. Once people took it seriously he started trolling them.

Katu was clearly TROLLING... he did not believe Dragoon was stream cheating... he was joking.
Was a joke, would be ridiculous for him to think Dragoon was cheating and doing a 3rd CC vs a roach ling all in.
The joke was that the 3rd CC was so bad on that situation that he stream cheating would be ridiculous.
After the chat started flaming Katu, he isntead of explaining the joke he continued trolling and being tongue in the cheek.
I think Katu shouldnt be fired. If you agree with me that Katu shouldnt be fired, send a email to PLayhem stating it so we know there is people that support the great caster rdesanto@playhem.com

It's like at your family Thanksgiving dinner and you blurt out. I totally saw my mom making out with this other uncle I didn't know about. Just joking!!!!
To put the reputation of another person on the line is just unprofessional intentional or not. Accepting this kind of behavior as trolling like you are is what separates the Korea scene and our unprofessional foreign scene

Being shot and possibly killed is never better than being badmouthed by some random guy, no matter what your deluded brain is telling you to think.

I wonder if the korean forums will pick up on this. They sure as hell won't be so forgiving of Dragon. it was indeed quite weird that dragon suddenly decided to make a techlab on his factory instead of a reactor... The bunker was even stranger. Why would he build it on top of the ramp and not in his nat? The bunker starts just as the Roach warren completes. Either way what Katu did wasn't anything outrageous. I think the community should forgive him. Can't blame the guy for accusing a cheater as a cheater. Boy, thats a great attitude. Once a cheater always a cheater? People never change or reform right? Let me guess, you support the death penalty too?
people don't change unless they actually have a major reason to or hit their head and lose parts of theuir brain. google phineas gage.

nice job making an alt account to post this though.
So when exactly did a player accuse another of cheating in a tournament environment? Katu went way too far, you can't just generalize this.

I disagree. People changes all the time without needing a major reason

quick, duck and cover! the drama queens are out in force today.
seriously, I just don't see how someone can get upset about such crap...

I think it's enough now. Dragon was involved in a scandal in the past and his fans have forgiven him. Katu is now involved in a scandal and I think we should forgive Katu as well.
Let's not go into whether the apology is sincere or not - we can never really know, even if it is perfectly worded. Playhem has also made a very generous offer as an apology. This much is enough.
Katu supporters, please don't say that people never change. If that is the case, then Katu and Playhem cannot be redeemed in the eyes of viewers who were offended in this incident, myself included.
