It was very unprofessional and there was also a touch of arrogance which I didn't like, and I don't think the chat liked. I do find the occasional troll quite funny, but that's behind the safety of the internet, or you do it amongst friends that can take it and not directly at your audience or the player you're casting. It is such a shame though, because I can see personality there and potential to be a good caster. Seems like a mate I'd hang out with. Hope this is a lesson learnt here and that he'll bounce back much like Dragon.

Try shooting an innocent bystander because he was caught stealing from you a year ago, because you thought he looked like he was up to no good. See how forgiving the community is. Of course if he told the community he was just trolling, 5percent of the population will forgive him. Did you just compare verbal comments to a police officer shooting someone?

He's never been someone with respect for players. I believe once he even admitted on stream that he's a bit of a douche. It's a shame he's allowed to cast high quality (game/player wise) events like the KSL, as well as things like Playhem which usually have top level players as well.

Most people do what they do here because they just love starcraft. You are all bringing out the pitchforks in a disproportionate way. Yeah he fucked up, and he probably will never do that again. But seriously, calm the fuck down. Personally, my only thought would be "Ouch, that was dumb, he should probably realize his mistake and apologize." And debating Dragon's legitimacy is just completely irrelevant.

i see that you were being totally professional writing this as your first post and totally kept you emotions out of it you didn't insult the caster either really nice /sarcasm no srsly i see that it was a bad thing for him to talk about dragon like that but you guys need to take that less seriously those casters are just doing this for fun and it's great that they sacrifice their time to cast this daily tournament where up-and-coming players can get used to competitive play and meet some of the big names if they get lucky you can complain all you want if someone on the MLG 20$ paystream says something like that and you can talk about how they don't know much about the game anyways and critizize them all you want because they are probably being more serious about what they are doing than those guys at playhem are just don't be to serious about what is going on on a stream of a daily tournament cause tbh.... you don't actually care about it right?

No, I don't agree with his behavior in this incident, of course not. But people need to understand that most SC2 casters are NOT professionals, have no real training and above all, in most cases, are not even paid. Therefore, you just cannot have the same expectations and standards towards casters in established professional sports. That's just retarded. He is human and he will fuck up, just like everybody else. Most people do what they do here because they just love starcraft. You are all bringing out the pitchforks in a disproportionate way. When you are speaking about other players in front of many viewers you have to be professional. What the foreigner scene lacks compared to korea is that same professionalism.

To clarify, I am giving Katu a second chance and think others should as well. After all, if people didn't get second chances nobody would be Dragon's fan to begin with. I just think its a shame that incorrect information got out to people that will probably think Dragon is constantly stream cheating (thats what he makes it seem like, for sure) and that he just got kicked out of slayers for doing it. That is legitimately tarnishing his reputation, and the fact that Katu's apology doesn't actually rectify this, but merely makes excuses (pretending it was all a joke when it obviously wasn't initially) is a shame. I don't hate the guy but he should really deliver a second apology. One that fixes the incorrect and misleading statements made about Dragon should be the minimum.

Of course, people seem to have a greater penchant for harassing casters than players, especially Korean ones.

Obviously people who were already fans or know about the incident know that katu was retarded and wont be affected by his comments. but as you can see in this thread, lots of people believe what katu say is true, and now more people are even accusing dragon of stream cheating. Trying to destroy someones career is much worse then being shot and injured.
