Watching a re-stream is not stealing. The only person doing something really wrong in that case is possibly the re-streaming person, and even that is quite unclear considering different legal systems around the world, but he was possibly doing something wrong, still not stealing, more like IP infringement.

Actually I buy my music off iTunes.
Regardless of whether its not a "missed buy" or not its still access to content that MLG intended to be only for paying customers. If the person isn't going to pay for it they shouldn't watch it. I guess I can go take a car because I didn't intend to buy it anyways? Therefore its not a missed buy?

I did not watch MLG nor will I anytime soon if the price keeps being this high.
I would've watched it if the normal membership price was upped just a few dollars but also granted access to these PPV events.

I watched it from the Piracy Options glitch because I could only watch it sunday, as a worked friday night and spent the saturday with my girlfriend. When I tried to pay for Sunday, it was still 20$, and there were like 5 Sets to go from the point I connected. I tought this was stupid, i would not pay 20$ for 5 Sets of a tournament that I don't even know the quality value. There should be a pricing goes down as the tournament goes down in my opinion...
And In my opinion, from what I saw it wasnt worth 20$ at all if you compare it to the normal mlg. Probably 5$ or top 10$
There was still a lot of lag (but i tought it was maybe because i had done the work around..?)
There was still a lot of downtime during the breaks, and it had the same casters (and less) as normal mlg.
There was no emotions of crowd cheering for wins, wich was a total lack. (But i liked that we saw Huk feeling very nervous after his loss to MKP, something we wouldn't have seen from a normal mlg because of the bad quality of their boot cam)
The only good thing was the absence of ads, but as its a ppv event, it makes sense.
I know that MLG has always improved from the first sc2 event they hosted and when they dissapointed me, the next event was always great, so i'm hoping that the next arena will be much improved and I don't doubt it.

Used the chrome trick. I have limited funds to give to esports, and I'm currently maxed out with my GSL package. I realize what I did is morally ambiguous but I would do it again.

Whats the point of money if you can just go and take content or merchandise (video games in your case) for free with the justification that you can't pay for them? You can't just set your own prices...Im sorry but that wont hold up in court if you're ever caught.

Neither paid nor watched. I've got a shitload of better options to spend $20 in the weekend. Even free StarCraft 2 has loads of competition of what else I could do, paying money is out of question. If MLG wanna stay dedicated only for a small circle of hardcore StarCrafters, ppv is fine. Just don't ever bring up the 'helping e-sports' argument again in that case. If MLG is helping to popularize e-sports, free stream option is a must. No sane person would ever pay $20 to watch what one thinks is just guys playing a videogame.
P.S. while I am at it, I wanna thank TL for their clear position about the event and their calendar, etc., expressed in another thread. I fully support it.

Didn't pay or watch. No interest, watched Assembly instead. Not gonna watch any VODs unless one is exceptional either, don't see the point when the event is not live.

Watching a restream is not necessary if you can watch it for free anyways. Anyways, the restreamer is the one to be blamed for that. Not the consumer.
To the workaround thing: There was no workaround needed. People just opened the browser in privacy mode however, and it worked. This is completely dumb-as-fuck-end-user free. no tools or anything needed. Im a software engineer my self, and i am very experienced in web development. And this technical issue really is embarassing. I assume they knew about this risk, but went with it anyway. You just don't develop a security system, considering clients dont manipulate their cookies. Thats unprofessional and not even student niveau. Maybe there was a configuration, where you make the first 20 minutes free, which implied the need of cookie storage.

So restream/glitch more than doubles the amount of people that paid to watch, and the people that didn't watch at all doubles the amount that got it free.

I read someone was abled to watch MLG for free, yet he didnt know how.. So I decided to give it a go myself and was abled to watch for free aswell. Didnt do anything to try and avoid payment, just tried it and it worked..
I wouldnt have paid anyway because I couldnt watch it all, due to broadcast times and other reasons (Waaaay too expensive if you compare it to TV PPV channels, and not even close to the production value).
The first games of the days I did watch, then I went to bed.
I dont see it as stealing either. Its not like I tried anything to watch it for free... I see it more as 'finding', as in finding money on the street... If you leave it there, out in the open, someone is bound to pick it up.

Normally I would support the work around paying method but this wasnt the mpaa or some other greedy corporation, mlg still cares about the community and I am sure they will work to make the community happy while still making a profit by either lowering arena prices of having an affordable yearly membership that includes everything. And if it ever comes clear they only care about the money then I will have no problem stealing there stream
