It has become clear, that this should stay an experiment and is never to be repeated.

It could be really good, but ffs draw the groups live ! Don't announce the groups live.
Drawing groups from a hat would make this show really cool. I don't understand their decision here. It was still nice to watch, but it could be way more than nice.

I agree, i like these kind of draws but this wasn't a legit one, it was acted and looked a bit weird. It was kinda fun to watch but it good be a lot better when they did it live, like a real draw.

Great matches, although i wont be able to see anything of it. I dont have much free time this weekend to see a lot and $20 for 3/4 hours (i maybe able to see) is way to much if you ask me. ($20 dollars for a weekend is ridicilous anyway).

How come Pomi, who got 4th seed in the European Qualifiers (ie. a good seed), gets matched up against a beast of the 2nd seed from the Korean Qualifier?

Yeah I agree. Having a show like this without actually drawing the bracket live is a bit of a wasted opportunity.

Grubby is very likable. It's not that surprising that a few swedes cheer for him rather than naniwa. (though his post suggested he cheers against naniwa rather than for grubby)

I hate to spout hate, but JP's general vocabulary has been bothering me for a really long time. Whether it's commentating or doing a show like this, his way of describing things seems to be at a grade seven level. I have a hard time listening when he describes every push in a game or player's skill he either says "big", "extremely big". "really big" or "great" or "really great" or "really good". I know this may come off as a really stupid post, but it really drives me insane. I'm okay with commentators with lisps, as that is an extremely difficult obstacle to overcome, but there's nothing stopping an adult who makes their living from talking to use a bit stronger of a vocabulary.

Is this sort of feedback better kept to myself? If not, what medium should I use to voice my criticism?

I never thought I'd end up saying this, but I pick Drewbie to advance over STC. After seeing him play in the regionals, Drewbie has definitely learned some things in Korea. He's on fire right now.

Seeds 1-8 are from providence
9-11 are 1st
12-14 are 2nd
15-17 are 3rd
18-20 are 4th
seed 13 plays seed 20

I think Naniwa should take that series quite handily, although it'd be nice to see close games.

agree, wholeheartedly.

JP seems to be in the same position that gretorp was in last year. subpar caster paired with a very knowledgable caster gretorp/incontrol - jp/apollo. gretorp has improved immensely, even though he still makes up words and sounds like he's trying to whisper when things get intense. JP really needs to step it up if he's going to continue casting MLG events, good casters make every game better, even shitty games; bad casters make me turn off the stream and check reddit for the results.

How does someone winning the weakest regional qualifier make them favored against one of the strongest terrans in Korea?

Knowing Naniwa's past and present behaviour, he's never been much of a fan of mine. Besides, I've followed grubby since mid 06 and will always cheer for him even if he'd be up against my own brother.

I was insanely impressed with NesTea taking the korean qualifier. Objectively speaking MVP is still the favourite, but I have this nagging feeling NesTea will take him.

Nestea is getting his momentum again, and there is patch 1.4.3, MVP relied a lot on ghosts on TvZ lategame.
