I don't think they DO "expect" people to be happy about it. I don't actually think they care they they make every single person happy.

IDK if your responding to me, but I was agreeing with Nazgul. Its only normal that certain pro's get better treatment, its also normal for some people to dislike that. That's all i was saying. If you ctrl+f nazgul you'll see multiple posts where i said 'nazgul was spot on'. I wasn't argueing or anything. Really can't believe this wasn't taken in Good humour.. there is always going to be Banter between players, especially those who are considered the best two of their country, Netherlands. C'mon guys.
Grubby can troll himself, i am a fan of Grubby and Ret and DeMusliM, them all being my favourite players of their respective races, and I know there can be BM, but its friendly bickering. Grubby did what he did to get attention, which I am not blaming him, he's independant, its the same as if Team Liquid said they where going to join with EG to help them in this current slump of performances in the team leagues. Its to make him look good, so he can get promotion and get attention, AND MONEY, its his Job at the end of the day.
Ret and De just felt like trolling it. Fine, it may even give them the psychological advantage when they next meet. ITS PART OF THE SHOW FOLKS. Man up, stop crying, if you didn't find it funny, shut up. If you did then laugh.

Grubby is a God, while you will never ever achieve the things he has in his life. This is just like all the Hon/LOL/Dota hate SC2 fans throwout. You guys need to realize that 'esports' involve more than 1 game. His sc2 accomplishments have absolutely nothing to do without how good a mentor he can be to a progamer And sports involves more than say ball games. That does not mean that mobile phone tossing is on equal terms with football. Your post literally doesn't make any sense. Are you saying that Warcraft 3 is equal to phone tossing in terms of skill while SC1 is football???? Sorry bro, not true. Yes some games require more skill than others, but thats not about this. All this topic is about is Grubby Mentoring a up and coming progamer. Grubby can help as much as anybody, and possibly more than others because his success is international where as others were isolated. Its a good thing I think it makes sense since you understood it. Although my example is only to illustrate the point that winning X and winning Y are not equal. BW took much more skill because it was much more competetive. Moreover it had less titles to win. In BW every title that mattered had the best competition in them because the leagues are standardized and there were only two: OSL and MSL. In WC3 you had things like WCG and ESWC and what else that had national qualifiers. But the nations were not equal. Grubby had no competition in his national qualifiers, so he made it into the final tournament rather easily. The Japanese tournament had nobody who was very good, but someone made it into the finals from there anyway. Moreover, there were scheduling conflicts. Sometimes the best would go to different tournaments held at the same time. Now let us consider BW, and I'm ignoring the fact that the scene itself was of higher quality, but the starleagues do not have national qualifiers. There is only one way to qualify. And there were no scheduling conflicts ensuring that all the best players were aiming to play in them. Winning a starleague, even not counting the overall qualities of the scenes, is a much bigger deal than winning, say, a WCG. With that being said, I don't doubt it at all that Grubby has useful knowledge to share. As Nazgul pointed out it is good that he shares it and it is nice of him. But if you think he did it purely out of niceness and had no self-promotion in mind, then I don't know what to tell you. Not that it is a very terrible thing to do but do expect someone to call you out for it if you do.
Just stop while you're not that far behind.... you're analogy was pretty bad. You realize Demuslim was a WC3 player right? I guess he sucks because he came from the "mobile phone tossing" of Esports and didn't play BW. Don't dig your hope any deeper by being stubborn. There are a number of ex-WC3 players who are now among the top foreigners in SC2... above ex BW foreigners. WC3 was obviously not some LoL-esque easy-mode game.

So, Ret already cleared it all up; This was a joke, plain and simple. Most of us probably understood that from the start.
However, I missed out on what DeMuslim apparently said on stream about Grubby, and since I'm genuinely interested, I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what that was about.

It wasn't bad. It illustrated the point quite clearly and thus did exactly what I wanted it to do. Yes, I do know Demuslims was a WC3 player and I don't think he is very good. But what does Demuslim have to do with what I said? I don't think I am stubborn. I think I am very much correct and you haven't given me any reason to think otherwise.

Grubby was obviously self-promoting, which is perfectly fine, but his post came off more pretentious than was probably intended and it rubbed certain people the wrong way, which was obvious from Demuslims comments on stream. Ret decided to make fun of him, which is also perfectly fine, but it wasn't done in a light hearted way which may or may not has been his intention. Grubby didn't think it was that funny which tells me the two aren't on 'friendly banter' terms with each other, and that makes it a failed attempt at humor or a successful attempt at rediculation(yes I just made that word up!).
It doesn't matter if people in this thread 'got' the joke, what matters is if Grubby did and it looks like he didn't.
