Would you like to have a professional looking overlay to dazzle up your stream but cannot find a place to get all the nifty overlays that the pros use? Then you have come to the right place! With my overlays your stream will have that professional feel, while having useful information on screen for your viewers to see. Think of it as marketing yourself and i'll do all the hard work!

How do you get one of these you ask? Easy. The info I need is below, just copy/paste this into a new post and fill it out. Please copy/paste, and not make a paragraph out of what i need. If you don't want to include your leauge on the overlay thats fine. Also.. masters/GM is not a rank. Its one or the other. Thanks!

I decided to add a price to SOME of my work. This is the way I decided for it to work. So we all can be happy.
*****FREE*****
- Everything you see below in Examples is Free. I am going to come up with 8-10 stock images, and plug in information on them. The in game will be the U/I from the game like I have been doing. So you will still have the professional looking overlays and still be very satisfied.
**$5**
- A one time fee for updating information... Did you change your name? Pick up a leauge? Change a team?
**20$**
- Fully unique overlay. I will bring you into a skype call or pm back and forth, decide what you want, the "feel" you would like, and a fully customized in game overlay. Also includes "animation" such as scrolling text. *This package does not have an update fee**
Examples of that style of overlay:
Either Imgur don't like gif's or they are messing up.. On the OOG for Treva, his sponsor scroll. On the "blinking" Led one, the blue light looking things flash and make a pattern.

I used photoshop often, I suggest using blending options on text (bevel&emboss, glow, lighting). You should try to create lighting or use some sick SOTG gradient. This is cool, something I would have enjoyed back in the day glhf 
Photoshop is so powerful just spam online tutorials and you will make pro shit in no time.

Oh, btw, I gave you my screen size instead of output size, output size is 1200x750. But the overlay should probably be best as 1680x1050.

After making tons of these graphics myself, this is sonething I learned:
Cut up your image into 2 sides:
The left one with minimap and part of the center-container,
right one with the action-pannel and friend button etc.
This way, no matter the aspect ratio the streamers can fit it
Would spare you the trouble of making an entirely new image per resolution/aspect-ratio.

Wow this took off more than expected! So glad i can help you all... Nemesys will be assisting me in making these. So he or myself is going to be creating these. I am in a tournament right now, but seeing the line up i will be out soon. So Here in about an hour i will be cracking down on these! Doing these overlays is fun and exciting. Met some really nice people so far. Again I am doing this all for free, but if people keep asking to pay me, i may take some of u up on it hahaha. Though, I am thinking about making a Donate feature, however i want to keep this as free as possible and make it so i don't scare people away . I enjoy this.
It does however take more time than i orignially though, so far i am doing 1 persons overlays (in and out) at about 1 per hour or 2. depending on how much i derp.
If you want to keep track of progress look up at the OP, i will keep updating this with every person I do. If you all like a background or style i use, and want something similar let me know, otherwise i will keep doing different stuff lol.
Also if you want one please add me on skype as well so i can keep you posted on the progress of your overlays, it also makes it very simple to deliver!

After seeing so many requests in this thread, thought I'd post a simple PSD that I made awhile back, here's a couple samples:

I've gone through and named all the layers so that if you can easily make one of whatever color you want, it's easy to edit and the masking is done non-destructively, so you can fiddle with it and fine-tune it for whatever purpose you want, my only request is that you leave my tiny signature in the bottom right.
p.s. just noticed that I screwed up the mask, and there's a little fleck floating over the 5 hotkey.

No offense but... those really aren't that great. They're ok if you're newish to Photoshop, but they wouldn't go far if you want to be professional or anything. There are too many default bevels and gradients, and they just.. don't really work together IMO.
It feels like I went back to 2004 with Photoshop 7.

See, the difference between you and these two is they make a thread with no one prompting them to do so, help the community, and ask for absolutely nothing in return. You say they are not doing graphics well, yet the people who have received the items are VERY thankful for what they have done, so much so many are offering to pay. So really what you say has no meaning to anyone here.
Yes, you did come off as an asshole, so instead of saying sorry just don't come off as an asshole in the first place because now that you see the demand you want to get involved.
Although, I will say any one willing to help shouldn't be put down so I do invite you to help them

Of course you'd have the ACTUAL sponsors of your team at the left, and your actual links, etc. at the right.
I haven't started on an in-game overlay yet, because it'll take a while to make something from scratch if I'm going to. Not sure if I'll take the existing overlay from SC2 and add on to it, or create one from nothing. :shrug:
EDIT: If you guys want to know how to create custom metallic-ish things like I have around the webcam & screen boxes I can create a little tutorial if you'd like. It's pretty simple, just takes practice.

I realize I came off as a bit of a dick, but it wasn't meant that way! They're just not as polished as they could be, and there are a lot of default blending options that I noticed, that could be tweaked to make it look a lot better.
I'm going to make a few and post them over the next couple days and if people like them enough I might start a thread for requests. We shall see!
And if any of you guys here want any Photoshop tips, don't hesitate to PM me. I've been working with this stuff since I was 12.

Might I suggest making some somewhat empty templates so other users can just add there team names/sponsors etc. You should try to release something of this nature to save you massive amounts of time while allowing people to put there own unique touches into it :D Just an idea. Hope you see this!

@Reptile, Most of the users here don't use photoshop or anything of that nature, I also like to make each one unique. The backgrounds and stuff are not that difficult or time consuming. THe hard part becomes placement and making thing everything flows well, which a blank template would possibly screw it up. However if people want a blank template i can make one ezpz.

I got a few done today, even though i told myself i wasn't going to do any. But hey i got to game as well so i'm happy. I am also glad some of the higher leauge players i helped popped on my stream and helped me out. :D Back scratching has happened! If you don't get that joke, you live in sc2 too much
Anyway, the no sleep giggles have hit, I played horribly, and have a lot more to do tomorrow! I will update my original post with one's i have done.

I'm with anonymitylol, these arent even that great. Naturally it's a douchy thing to come in here and just leave it at that, so I'll drop some critique (for what it's worth).
You should try to work with the colors and try to blend it nicer and smoother to for the eye. A screeching gradient from red to black is not nice and it doesnt feel nice.
Everythings "popping" too much, try to incorperate windows and other things into the scenery, the contrast is too high and it makes it look like mspaint. Work on text effects and window placement, from left to right, the eye most likely starts reading from left (if youre western) so naturally this is where you want to place certain things (like ads and sponsors).
Other than that you should work more with natural design using brushes and detailing with tools rather than using cheap photoshop effects that only makes everything look tacky.
Take it for what its worth.

Out of game I don't use a template, I can post up a blank canvas if you want. Right now I only have a few templates for certian in game overlays. In games are easy... Just open up sc2 in whatever resolution you stream in... push print screen, and cut out all the stuff you don't want... from there its just layering and adding stuff. The hard part of this is the Out of Game because every background of mine is unique and I come up with them per person.

Making a template shouldn't be too hard. You just put it to a really high resolution and in the right proportions (e.g. 16 : 9 and 4:3 and then people can adjust it in XSplit. As long as the reso is high enough (eg max resolution for Twitch).
I can make one after my exams (End of January) if you feel like it's not possible. I think a template would be a good resource for the community because people can simply add their links and sponsors (even without ANY photoshop skills, last resort: Paint :p) Most important thing really is just that the proportions are right.

Like in game is easy, I can do that no problem. But the Out of game all you do is create a document with your output size, add what you want (the hard part) and then save.... Like there would be no reason to make a template for out of game. I mean i can throw a generic background with a window in it easily...

Can't just blatantly say overlays are the cause. What is the reason behind overlays as to why you don't watch them anymore? Is it because they shrink the out of game screen which in turn gives little privacy to the player? Is it because it adds a distinct variation for each player to have something to themself? Is it because you don't want to see the players in a sense "flaunt" what they have as to teams/sponsors?

Thanks Bayside I knew about deviantart.com, and another website i got from anonymity, i like those sites. I try to use a mixture of everything, I will have to learn brushes and eraser style. The more styles i learn the merrier :D.
Also @Atmuh.... Why would the addition to a stream to make it look more professional stop you from watching? Do you know some of these big tournaments with casters use overlays? Also some of these players I am creating for are getting paid by sponsors to play a game. This helps them out as well by promoting their sponsors more. I think overlays are a positive influence and not a negative. The only thing I am truely confused on is why post on here? If its for attention, I'm sure you will get it, just not in the positive way.
I do have to admit TL, you all suprised me. in the few short days this post has been up, I think I am around 50 overlays total (completed and to do combined) and some top tier players as well with big team names asking me for these. I am throughly surprised. As I have stated I am very new to photoshop and will take the CONSTRUCTIVE criticizm of my graphics to better them. I know in the past few short days that my style is changing. The first few i did, i am now unhappy with, and am sure it will continue that way. So if you have messaged me on Skype (which almost all have so far, that is how i send them) i will keep you in my contacts in the case I want to redo.. I know alot are happy with what I have completed so far, and am glad, but some of these players are big names with alot of views, so i want it to be perfect. :D
Also, TL, I am thankful to you all.. 15k views in short time, and only a few negative posts! wow. Glad TL isn't full of trolls like some of the other forums out there.

This all going well :D. I am still doing these, I was asked by someone if I was and wanted to assure you all I am still doing them. It may seem like it is taking a while, but i'm being a bit of a perfectionist so its taking me longer per overlay than expected. However I am learning a lot of new techniques so I am happy. So far everyone has seemed to be happy with their end product :D. All I ask is just to be patient with me, I will have everyone completed that has signed up for one :D. It may be a week until I finally hit the end but I am working as much as my brain will let me while still maintaining my gaming. I am so close to Diamond Promo, I play a lost still. I am doing about 3 - 4 overlays a day, sometimes more depending on the difficulty on what I'm doing. :D

Okay, I am getting asked a lot if i am still making these... Yes I am!... i don't think i'm going to stop. Right now I am researching possible jobs doing this stuff. Of course i have alot to learn but i'm enjoying it. If i can sit here at my PC and do this, Play SC2, and be a father to my children, I will be a happy man. As I stated in the last post, I have been "Switching" my style if you will. Now for the sad news
My wifes Grandfather is close to breathing his last breath . He has yet to meet our newborn daughter in person, and everyone in her family belives he is holding on to see her. We are leaving friday night for florida, and returning after the weekend. I am going to back up most of my files onto a external (need to anyway) and attempt to work some while down there. I have been on this sort of trip before and know there will be some down/boring times. So i will attempt to do one or two while down there, and keep everyone on here updated as much as i can. But I know i will be a little slower this weekend. I have my Twitter (@SerafeimSC) and my Skype(SerafeimSC) on my phone, and i'll have my notebook with me, so if you want to talk to discuss ideas or anything let me know... However this weekend my wife and her family will come first... Well family always comes first...

The area51focus is interesting in terms of composition, it still lacks details, all of them do. Theres nothing interesting about the backgrounds for me, they look a bit like the type of gif exploded websites you saw back in '95. Goofy fonts make me sick. Make clean and efficient texts.
Work with nice compositions and try to make more clean positions for the adds and text. Work on the details, it's all too broad and bland right now. One good tip that I've learnt alot from over the years is to google up some inspiration, google logos or something similar and use the creativity they have as inspiration to get something interesting cooking in photoshop.
Take it for what its worth.

Naturally you gotta appease to the "costumer" in the sense that you gotta abide by their wishes, but most of the times they dont know what they want anyway, so you've got pretty big leeway (especially now since you're doing this for free). I'd take this more to work on your own skills rather than appease to the people in here wanting things for free (not to say you can't do both).
As for details, I cant give you specifics since theres nothing specific to talk about, but in general most of the overlays are too simple, they dont propose anything interesting, either there is gradients that are too sharp or the colors are simply too boring.
Theres also a bunch of noise on alot of things that shouldnt be noisy, you should stay away from too noisy backgrounds and or too noisy other things since it makes it hard for the eye to focus (making it look ugly and annoying), good example is the beastyq overlay, the text is completely noisy and you can hardly tell what the text says, more clean with details.
Also look up better color combinations, some of these are very screeching to the eye. I'd try to stay away from too high contrast colors, the super green overlay one comes to mind, just burns the retinae.
Try out Kuler to get cool (I mean cool as in cold) and soft color combinations, http://kuler.adobe.com
Also, browse around on http://logopond.com/ or http://www.logospire.com/ to get inspiration and see how creative you can get with color and details without going overboard (and making too much noise).

Okay I just returned from my emergancy trip, I will start on these probably later today. I have been up for over 24 hours and have been driving for 14 of them so my brain is going a little haywire.
Again, I have no problem giving people the In game ones. EZPZ. if you want an out of game one i can do that too. I'll gladly post a 1920X1080 black image up. Everything I make for the out of game overlays is from scratch. The borders I make, the backgrounds I make. The logos and emblems sometimes have to be edited so that they can work right and not have a big black/white box around them. Just PM me or w/e if you want the IN GAME overlay PSD... Otherwise go into *insert photo editing software here* and create a desktop document and have fun. I honestly don't know what you all want for the out of game PSD. I don't mean to be a dick or a hole here, but EVERY out of game overlay I create starts with a blank *Insert Screen Resolution Here* document and I work from that. I do not have a Master Template PSD for OUT OF GAME overlays. I just have images i use on a constant basis such as Emblems, Social Media Icons, and stuff like that. If you want them you can do what i did. www.google.com just make sure they are non copywrite images otherwise you could get into trouble. Again sorry if i'm sounding like a dick but i can only get asked the same question so many times. If this disuades some people from having an overlay made by me so be it. AnonymityLol, Nemisys, and a few others in this thread have noted how easy they are so maybe you can ask them. You won't hurt my feelings. I am doing this as a fun project to make laddering not so painful.
Now... To the haters...

And I ask everyone else that is following the thread to keep my attitude on the haters. Just ignore them. I treat Trolls/Haters like my children. Thanks Romulox... I just want to let everyone know that These are stillb eing completed. I just got way overwhelmed.. Most of you all only see the thread. But i got emails, and skype calls, skype IM's... Hell even got people on twitter asking for them. I would say right now I have around 50 requests (including the 20 or so I have done so far)

Okay... I have a ton of these to do...a bit overwhelmed.. Sorry for such a long turn around guys. Still cranking a way. One thing i will ask ya guys' opinons for. What if i came up with like 10 backgrounds... and you pick the one you like, and I will use that for your overlay? If that sounds like something cool let me know I have been coming up with some cool little backgrounds and will post them all up and you can pick. If not i'll continue to personalize each one!

Okay guys and gals, Sorry for the lack of updates and lack of communication between myself and you all. I have had a few things i was working on for various people in the Starcraft 2 community. I am beginning to think of starting this as a business and will be getting schooling in Graphic Design, as well as, Graphic animation, so i can do Overlays and such that you see on MLG, Gom, Assembly, and other High level Companys. Anyhow enough of my apologies. I have a few more on this list left to do, I think i'm down to around 10. Unless something crazy comes up again I am going to be working on this list.
Also please be in mind that some people are skipping the thread and going straight to skype. My skype did crash, and when it did, I lost everyones information. So if you only messaged me in skype can you please send me a PM on here with your information that I requested? Thanks a bunch.

Also, I am going to be releasing a basic pack here in the next few weeks. It will have a simple basic background. Webcam and Non webcam frames, Text boxes, and Simple instructions. Will include in game and out of game. Mainly I see 16 and 16:10 Aspect Ratio's so i will stick to them. Unless I see an over abundance of crazy aspect resolutions I won't add to them.. They will be in .Png and .Psd files. So expect that in the next few weeks :D

I have sort of a strange request. I'm starting to stream live Pokémon card game tournaments, and I could use an overlay to display during the games. Is there any chance you could do something like that? Here are the things that would need to be on it.
a) Spaces for the names of both players
b) Spaces for number of games each player has won
c) Spaces for number of prizes each player has remaining
d) Our logo somewhere
For an example, we were able to be a part of the World Championship commentary team this year, and they had in overlay in this video. Normally, though, the players would be on the left and right instead of top and bottom. If you have any questions or need any more information, please let me know! If this isn't something you can/want to do, that's cool as well. Here is more contact information.

Nonono, the basic ones, like what i have been doing. Using the stock in game u/I, customized to the customers information. What i'm thinking about selling is the Pure custom Ingame, with an out of game with it. The pure custom Ingames take me a while to do. It didtn' upload the out of game image i had attached. But most of the ones I have been doing are basics. So everything is going to be free, but the pure custom ones, where the in games i break out the brushes, try to get shadows right, and stuff like that is what i'm debating on charging.

My Power Supply took a shit on me last night. Going to be doing graphics from my laptop, however all of my source files are on my main PC. I'm going to try to keep up with this, but i can't guarentee timeframe. I am hoping tonight i can go to best buy and get a new one. but that depends on if my truck gets sold tonight or not.. :/ fawk I will post here again when my pc is up and running. so feel free to post requests, and i'll do my best to crank them out from my laptop
