lzgamer was not that great at BW.

This is entirely irrelevant.

EG wouldn't cut Puma, JYP before Incontrol. That's ludicrous to suggest. He does stuff for the community, but it's not as compelling as strong tournament results. EG aren't the ambassadors of SC2, they are a top-level team that was made with the intention to compete. EG would easily cut Puma and JYP before InControl (not saying that it will happen, but if the choice was on the table). One of the major reasons why EG even has money to hire big name players is because of the level of community and sponsorship work that InControl does to get eyes on the organization.
Puma and JYP are easily the better players, by an uncomparable margin, but InControl is easily the bigger money maker for EG.

I'd guess IdrA would be a bigger money maker.

Lz is becoming more and more active within the community. Hes streaming more consistently and more importantly he did some casting work for NASL. If he returns for season 3 than thats great exposure for EG.

this is actually true imo
EG is just going to buy some other koreans now anyway just results so that they can say that they are the best team and if they are not achieving just dump them
wonder why everyone was so upset when carn was released by eSahara for not posting results AND BEING UNMOTIVATED and when EG breaks up with 2 long time members eventhough they (or at least axlav) have some results to show at least AND ARE MOTIVATED (i would guess so at least from what ive heard) its just kinda funny how this forums sometimes work out

Axslav was by far my favorite player to meet at MLG.
Best of luck to him in the future!

Solid post.
Ideally you want to keep all the guys mentioned because they all bring something different to the party but there's no denying that Incontrol is a big part EG's past, present and future.

the funny thing is its best for BOTH parties, like incontrol said axslav and strifecro were worth more than what eg was giving them and its simply not feasable for EG to keep them at to moment so a new team will give them what they are worth

LZ was very big during beta/early release in terms of streaming. This was before we got a lot of the ladder heroes we follow today.

LZ doesn't live at the house, the way Axslav and Strife did. Therefore, he doesn't "cost" as much. I know what Scoots said on Lo3 this past Wednesday and it makes sense. EG couldn't dedicate the money needed for two great up and coming players. I would honestly be shocked if they get any new players that live at the lair. Those two weren't cut or released or fired. Their contracts were not renewed. It happens, but I know they both will bounce back!

dont think they were good enough to bear the EG title. they didnt perform up to par with what EG expects.
|
So at this point only Demuslim, Machine, and iNcontroL are living at the EG house with Demuslim and iNc potentially going to Korea sooner or later? Seems a bit silly to me.

Very well said.

Everyone forgets to mention that LZgamer is a sexy beast, and that alone should be the only reason to keep him on EG. Everything else is a bonus.

im not really suprised :-/
gl to axslav and strifecro tho <3

I'm impressed how everyone in this thread knows the inner workings of EG, their financial structures, player contracts, overall business plan, model, and vision for the future and just general business practices.
Where did everyone read up on that? I'd love to read up on it as well if someone could point me to where everyone is getting their information.
Or is it just all made up assumptions by people that really have no idea at all about anything they are talking about?

so what is doing lzgamer, machine and incontroll still there?
no reason to keep them if following that scheme
