no reason to keep them if following that scheme Machine has way better results, incontrol is like their most popular guy and lzgamer switched race, give him some more time. but before switching races what was lzgamer doing besides hanging out in the boonies anyways? edit: and in regards to the actual thread. If there were more team leagues in the north american scene and if 2v2 was a more entertaining, more watchable game, then i could see them keeping them. But axslav and strifecro were great as a 2v2 team, and there aren't a lot of chances for them to shine these days
Ya but being a foreign terran means about as much as being a Korean protoss. There are a couple good ones but for some reason the play style just doenst seem to translate well compared to there korean counterparts.

And the EG koreans stay there when they come for tournaments, to adjust to the times (they fly in a day or two early)

Well, their wc3 2-2 results didn't really translate to sc2. For being 2-2 specialists their 2-2 Results in the EG Masters Cup where quite bad.
But good luck for their future careers.

Too bad. Axslav is probably my favorite streamer - learned alot from him analyzing his games. I hope they both find new teams soon.

surprised lz is not cut before axslav. His results are worst than ax's and he has less stream numbers and does not even stay at the house. I like jake but i just put this in perspective. I think gosu will pick up oe of these 2 and ax may go to another big team like fnaticMSI

Why did they cut these guys and not incontrol? If performance was the deciding factor then EG should only really have kept Idra, puma and huk. But seriously Axlsav and Strifecro had way more potential then Incontrol, Lz and machine. They were also a decent 2v2 team and War3 legends.

Its been made pretty clear earlier in the thread that performance isn't the deciding factor for this kind of thing. EG is first and foremost a business, one in which Geoff plays an undeniably huge role regardless of his results. I am a big Axslav fan, but it doesn't really come of any surprise to me that he was ultimately cut from the roster. I do think that a move is what is probably best for him anyway, there are a lot of teams out there who could use him.

should have fired lz instead of axlav
|
Lz likely doesn't get a salary so there are very little costs associated with having him on the team.

You're like the 1000th person to have said this...Maybe LZ's contract wasn't up?

StrifeCro is still living in the house despite not being on the team.

maybe the ties of the community of bw are in play? i mean lzgamer .. machine.. ? idra friends? hmm well either way the team should continue to relieve itself of players that arn't world class.. so i assume there is more cuts coming.

Maybe people should listen to the Live on Three where Scoots talks about this before they post.

Agreed. Can't wait to see where Ax and Strife end up. Good luck to them both.
