The decision may have been at least partly Axslav's as well... the quotes people are posting from his stream don't paint a rosy picture of his relationship with them, ie "they're only sending me because they'd look stupid if they didn't."

As for StrifeCro, his role was 2v2 and that's a format that isn't really getting the support some thought it might in notable tournaments (unfortunately imo).

In image, iNControl IS EG. Idra is a great player on team EG, with puma i always have the 'oh yeah he's on their roster' feeling, HuK is former-liquid can't see him as EG

But incontrol for me, IS team EG. A billboard, a spokesman, an organiser, a connectionpoint towards the public. Through his interviews at tournaments, his appearances in popular SC2 shows, his willingness to be anything he can be in the e-sports scene for EG. Ye cutting him would be stupid, to me he symbolizes the EG team, the glue that makes it a team.

Besides that, Anna is doing stuff for EG aswell. They are all-in and EG seems to reap the benefits from both of them. Axlav/strifecro were there for the results alone, they didn't come.

Disappointing how many people think EG is making a personal attack towards those two.

Dispite how sour it sounds, you don't keep an employee if they're not performing at the level they should be.

Meh, you have to cut players who aren't good at the game eventually..

EG just looks more and more like SKT1 from BW though - they just assimilate players getting results and get rid of homegrown talent that didn't live up to much.

EG needs to pick up some good Koreans like Golden now, and they will be solid. Get some genuine strong practice partners for IdrA/HuK/Puma

I think it's really sad but it was forseeable. Good luck and all the best for both of them in the future! :'(

is lz still on the team? Machine? Can't be a matter of performance if they are.

Edit: Just checked EG website. There must have been more at play than results, since Machine and LZ are both still listed.

You honestly don't think Machines results have been far far above that of Axlav and Strifecro?

I for one is not surprised at all, my only previous conclusion was that they wanted some mid level players that don't cost anything to be practice partners for their top teir players. However now it seems more likely that it was a matter of waiting for their contracts to end.

As esports and sc2 grows and as the talent poll gets bigger there simply won't be much space for players of this mid level caliber esp on a team like EG.

I was worried something like this might happen since the 2v2 scene was always very small. Still sad to see them go but seems like this has to happen in the business of esports.

My eyes. They burn. T1 is a freaking dynasty of homegrown players, how are they in any way comparable? It's pretty much the exact opposite.

The only acquisition for T1 that matches your description is Bisu. You could stretch it and say the same for Sun potential wise, but he was certainly not getting any results before joining T1.

i havent seen or heard much of strifecro before, but i only started watching axslav last week and hes a really really good player, but simply was overshadowed by the skill of idra, demuslim and HuK and the personality of incontrol. Also i believe he took out whitera 4-3 in a BO7 last week sometime, not sure what trournamen for though. Its a shame they had to go, they're all really good friends as far as i can tell.

And machine has improved ALOT tbh, as far as skill goes, i think that everyone thats on the team atm deserves to be there, maybe replacing axslav with LZgamer, but hey

is there any word on when/if they move out and where to?
i cant imagine they'd stay teamless for long, especially nick

Is this due to results? I think if it is, it's a real step forward for eSports as a COMPETITVE eSport. A big team like EG shouldn't have players who don't put out results. It's like keeping a really crap defender on Man United or something (analogy, not saying they're crap).

I don't think you need to compare other teams now am i not right? Why involve other players in this? Just talk about the topic.

I understand what you mean about sticking to topic, but if NA's teams are going to compete with Koreans, they need to devote all their resources to promising players. Players who are grandfathered into a team/community are nice and all, but are also a drainage on resources that could be better allocated elsewhere. Just saying.

I agree with you on that. The NA scene seems to be alot about old BW players and trying to promote wellknown names but dont really got any major talents..

Isnt it strange there is allmsot zero upcomming players from NA. Where is the NA version of Nerchio,Stephano,Titan,Targa.

Only one I knew was DDE when he first entered the scene and he is by me considering the best NA player. NA lack a talent productive enviroment and I hope the teams steps up.

Its time to develop NA players instead of just sticking with wellknown names.

I can only name trimaster for rising star for na. DDE is Korean also.

Best of luck to Axslav and Strifecro in the future.

I hope you guys keep playing and smash a few tournies in the face.

Just a crazy, out-there thought. What if EG picked up MMA? *gasp*

That would be just incredible. Or just any of the biggest star players(MVP, NesTea), omg my exploded at that thought. I mean, how much are they paid over at their respective teams? I bet you EG could come up with a very lucrative offer to make them switch over...any of these star players would easily reap an enormous ROI. At the end of the day it's really all about $$$. And would not a GSL champion not fit that bill?
