At some point you have to earn your keep It's funny because Tyler while underperforming still had much better all round results in almost every tournament tyler and the two departing players have entered in??? I'm not really sure that TL would get rid of Tyler, as we all know he has the talent and potential to become one of the best in the RTS scene as long as he puts a lot of effort into it like BW. I'm not sure about what the "keep"/salary was for all 3 players but I think EG are capable (with the finances they have) of building a much stronger team and you can say a lot of other TL players have had lacking results this year (not only Tyler imo). The truth is that Tyler usually finishes at the spot that he's seeded in, not advancing further in any tournaments. Wins a set or two if lucky with brackets, but that's about it. Sad as it is, I'd really would like to see him do well. Such a nice guy. =/
Tyler fought through an open bracket in MLG and made it into groups bro! Although you're right, most tounrmanets he's just been automatically seeded into groups but at the times where he's been needed to fight through an open bracket he's done it and did it better than the two departing players

That's interesting..... especially given that, that particular team doesn't exist.

I understand what you mean about sticking to topic, but if NA's teams are going to compete with Koreans, they need to devote all their resources to promising players. Players who are grandfathered into a team/community are nice and all, but are also a drainage on resources that could be better allocated elsewhere. Just saying.
Maybe.. maybe not... But making this into a discussion about other teams letting other players doesn't really concern this. Perhaps in some other thread.

yea, complexity or Root may pick them up
gl Axslav and Strifecro

I agree with you on that. The NA scene seems to be alot about old BW players and trying to promote wellknown names but dont really got any major talents..
Isnt it strange there is allmsot zero upcomming players from NA. Where is the NA version of Nerchio,Stephano,Titan,Targa.
Only one I knew was DDE when he first entered the scene and he is by me considering the best NA player. NA lack a talent productive enviroment and I hope the teams steps up.
Its time to develop NA players instead of just sticking with wellknown names.

Been wondering when EG was going to cut the fat for a while now.
These guys just aren't on the same level as their newer players.
Just wait, iNcontroL to follow.

Looks like EG is finally taking the SC2 side of things seriously now.

Incontrol haters amaze me. Anyone who thinks he will be cut is very ignorant. He does way too much for the sponsors and team that it is never going to happen.

As sad as it is, it's a smart move from EG. Lz will probably follow soon, I doubt they'd get rid of machine or incontrol though because it's not just results they care about.

As an Axlav fan, I don't like this. Soon EG will be fillid with koreans+huk, so much for the foreign team of 2011
|
Understandable... Seems EG has drawn some big lines not only in SC but CS also.....business is busines....however heartbreaking on a personal level it might seem.
Good news is that they will invest more in the areas that actually perform very well...witch means even better performance..so defently an interesting year for EG

I feel sorry for them, but then I can completely understand. I had heard of them because they were on EG, but I didn't really know who they were. They didn't have personality like incontrol or the results of other EG members.
Hopefully, and I expect that, EG will be able to use this to pick up some other players with good performance.

Just making room for more Koreans. Teams need to produce results and these layoffs are long overdue.
If inControl wasn't in the spotlight so much and probably do a ot of things for EG "behind the scenes" he'd be cut as well.
