As a former NElf player I have very few strategies that I cannot give credit to Moon for creating. Heck some of the strategies he got up even got nerfed, that's how sick he was.I think Moon has the ability to become a decent Sc2 player, but people saying he's suddenly going to be the best Zerg after a few months are deluding themselves. Wc3 gives him an advantage in micro, but the best Wc3 players have already been overtaken in terms of micro by top Koreans like MKP, MC, Hero, DRG, Leenock, and so on. It's not longer enough to have been really good at micro. Zerg needs innovation still,(its the most properly unexplored race as far as timings and pure strategy thinking goes in a non-macro way and Moon has the brain for it if he is going to commit to SC2.

The BW pro's will be the best at SC2 because they know how to practice. The fact that they can send SCV's to mine without rally points won't help them. If Moon practices more efficiently than Nestea/DRG/Leenock, he'll be the best zerg.

I think you underestimate how helpful being used to playing at 500APM is.

The only reason he went back to WC3 was to compete in WCG and now that is over he is back to SC2. Why was it he couldn't get to the top then? Moon has the potential to be the best in the world but I don't see that being realized under the fnatic tag. Fnatic is a sinking ship and they have no team facility or partnership in Korea for Moon to fully dedicate. He could do better on another team but I could see that limiting his chances of going to international tournaments. Being on WMF's SC2 team was like being teamless. You heard what Lyn said about practice at that house when he was in the GSL; he had to practice on the ladder all the damn time, pretty much. Not to mention, unlearning skills for a game you've spent so many years of your life living and breathing (and keep in mind that he was in War3 even back in RoC days), and you have someone who's trying to unlearn deep habits, then having to relearn them, and then needing to unlearn them again -- back and forth. And he's going to keep doing that until he chooses a game, unfortunately. If he wants to stay at a teamhouse, I don't think anybody will say no to accommodating him unless they are really pressed for space. The question is if he wants to go the teamhouse-route though. I think he only got to see his family a few times a week when he was on WMF. --- People who think that Moon's micro was what made him godly in War3 obviously know nothing about Moon or the War3 scene. He was godly not because he could micro well, but because he played unpredictable and innovative, so much so that it was difficult to practice against him, because nobody really played enough like him. If you listen to Grubby talk about Moon sometimes, he says that he would try to prepare against Moon by playing other NEs, but he would recognize whenever they did something non-Moonlike, which was a problem, so he really ended up having to just try to outthink Moon and his strategies instead. Also, he was godly, because he practiced a shit ton back in the day. If you think Flash practices a lot, there was a lengthy period of time when Moon's practice hours literally > Flash's practice hours. Yes, I am using "literally" correctly. That is how much he practiced; it was inhuman. I don't think he plays nearly as much these days, but I'm a bit tired of people trying to apply the "pure talent" argument to Moon; he is talented, but a large part of that is because he poured his soul into War3 during the game's heyday, and because he spent so much time just plain thinking about the game. Which incidentally is -- hey! -- just like most top BW players and BW. Who'd have thunk it?
