Only people with results without living in a team house are NesTea and MVP, and such thing has never happened in BW since they got established. Team houses produce the best players and thus the best results. If MC wants something other than results, I guess it's fine. The best part of that was how you said the only people with results without living in a team house are NesTea and MVP, just the two top players in the world right now. Obviously this shows that yes on average living in a team house produces better results but once in a while you can still see players thrive outside of that environment. Anyway good luck to MC!

While SK is an internationally recognized team and are known for signing big name players in the past. SK Telecom started with BoxeR. The amount of money for that deal was unheard of at the time as SK Telecom wanted to compete with the likes of the powerhouse KTF Forever. What you are doing is comparing two different markets. International recognition to that of Korean recognition. Both are big and influential for their own reasons. SKT1 have a ridiculous following. They have a ton of fans inside and outside of Korea. KT, SKT1 and CJ are the biggest teams inside Korea. Their following outside of Korea is pretty impressive as well considering they rely on re-streams because all their events are televised.

You don't know yet what his practice regimen will look like, for all we know SK could rent a spot at one of the pro houses for him to practice at. You also don't know what his practice was like inside the house. People always assumed HuK learned tons of 'sitting next to MC' when in fact they helped each other out only on a few occasions during HuKs time in the oGs house. Stop assuming things. I agree. It's pretty indisputable that the team house environment is highly productive but not every player needs or can handle that living condition. We've already seen a few Korean players leave Korean teams because they don't want the practice house environment. Playing/talking/thinking about SC2 12+ hours a day can cause burnout and ultimately a lack of motivation and decline in performance. And yes, everyone assumed HuK was getting better because he had oGs protoss to help him but in reality he had very little help from the Koreans earlier. I think its safe to say this is a huge change for MC but we don't know yet if it will be good or bad.

Best of luck to MC and SK and oGs. I hope MC maintains a good practice regime outside of a practice house. Maybe SK may be getting a full-time team? As far as oGs goes, I think it is time for the rest of the members to step it up now that two of their core veterans (Zenio and MC) have left, though I'm sure that maybe ForGG will pick up the slack.
