I would think that someone that nails all the big SC news before they happen probably have a pretty good idea of the ballpark at least.

Mc polarizes and is pretty popular in the western scene, wheter u hate or love him. i think he recognized that + his more of capable skill to own some faces on a regular bases = more Money and fame for him ...more sponsors..possible commercials etc....
quiet interesting how things will turn out...
as a Idra Fanboy i hope he wont meet Idra in tourneys now more often ... he is kind of his arch nemesis

so disappoint... Just? it is THE e-sport team.... you must be joking. SKT1 is the most established esport team around. I'll bet my left nut that SK-Gaming is more established and successful than SKT1. And how can they be more established than SK-Gaming? SKT1 focuses only on one game, while SK-Gaming don't have their focus on only one game (even though they might prioritize for instance CS1.6 more back in the days). Just look at SK's history in terms of tournament results http://www.sk-gaming.com/awards/ . Both teams are legends in their own respect, but SK have had more infuence and presence world wide - which imo should overweight SKT1 who only attends at domestic tournaments. Edit: I didn't see this coming. I hope MC will still be living in the oGs house for practice - though it wouldn't suprice me if he isn't. MC fighting!
it depends on your definition. when i say esport, i really mean BW. when you talk about the parent companies, there's no contest.
anyway, this is not the path of argument i want to pursue...i just want to say that skt1 would be better for MC. his future in a foreign team with all of 2 players would be rather uncertain.

I'd say being funded by a multi national telecommunication provider trumps everything. Sure, if they wanted they'd invest a bit out of their petty cash and be no.1 in cs,fifa, dota as well. but you can say the same about any other major company with a lot of young (male) customers...

SK burnt the Korean bridge, I feel that Koreans are tired of getting there players poached. GL to MC it was his choice.
You can't fault someone for making more $$ if the market is going to pay them that...

mouz , atn and SK ! I don't know if you can call it a strong "team" with only one player in it. Then mTw would be strong too with Dimaga and TT1. I hope that both teams (SK and mTw) will add more players to their rosters, because they are the oldest e-sport teams in Germany and maybe even in Europa or the World.

Well knowing SK, I would be surpised if he remains the only player on their team for very long.
SK SC2 Team coming up? About time!

Man this is pretty shocking - is this the only way MC figured he could attend foreign tournaments? I hope this doesn't affect his level of play... mind you, pretty much all of the top oGs players are Terran, and it can't be hard to find good Terran practice partners working outside of a team house.

Sure, thing is, if because of this he loses the practice regimen, the team house, the practice partners, and his play starts to fade away, in the long run, he'll get less money. It's shortsighted, maybe he wants to retire soon and do something else.

Damn, OGS lost their best and most successful player. I'm curious how MC will turn out now that he isn't part of a house/practice environment.

I thought if he were to leave oGs, then he'd at least go to one of the major foreign teams like Liquid, EG or Mousesports but not SK Gaming (who pretty much have no notable players and the lack of a practice environment,)
who have no other SC2 players. FTFY This is probably just the start of SK entering the SC2 scene!

holy crap... SK must be ponying up a ton of money for MC

I got hints of something like this from Reis, but that's about it. I was still blown away by this.

He either wants to chill outside the Korean prac house environment and just live off free wins at foreign tourneys, which SK would be fine with cos they get lots of exposure. Or SK will be picking up some sick people and starting a house/team soon. Guess people with insider info wont be posting it, so let's just wait.
