What do you expect..koreans are just ahead of foriegners ...ALL foriegners, not just Idra. Stephano, Huk, Jinro, Idra, Naniwa... and many others all have tried. and so far aside from some marginal success have failed.
HuK has been in Korea for a long time and he was able to maintain consistent play in Code S. Sure, he's not doing as well anymore, but the format changed and Code S is tougher than its ever been so its not surprising to see him drop off.
As far as I know, no other non-Korean has been in Korea nearly as long as HuK. I think it would be unreasonable not to give Naniwa some more time before discussing the quality of his results.

Christ, really one guy posts it and the 40 pages afterwards everybody tries to get rid of this inaccurate statement.
The game of tonight was 3 days old.

People repeated it because Demuslim said it on his stream since he was providing commentary on it. It was irresponsible for him to say without being 100% certain since it is now seen as gospel.

He's not on the top foreigner level occupied by Nani/Huk/Stephano and maybe Sase. But he does have a massive hype machine behind him. What a terrible quantification of "top foreigner level". Idra, Naniwa, Huk, and Sase have all had their ups and downs. Sase hasn't shown nearly the amount of results Idra has. Naniwa didn't win a single game at Blizzard Cup and for most of 2011 didn't show any results. HuK also had his up and down moments. Stephano has been fairly consistent. You completely omitted Thorzain. Idra currently isn't performing as well as he's capable of. He fell out of Code S and lost this showmatch, all in the span of a short period of time. But when he's in form he's easily a top foreigner. If you're truly capable of seeing past the "massive hype machine" as you seem to be implying that you can, you'd realize this.
The fuck? Nani has been one of the most consistent foreigners outside of GSL. TSL3, all MLGs + invitational, Blizzcon, both Homestory cups
I agree that Idra is overrated. People only see the good macro/mechanic player in him, but don't recognize that he is too vulnerable in the early game and too predictable because of this. So his losses are downtalked.
If you look at Idras win percentage or better his ELO rankings (sc2charts.net has a more accurate than TL), Idra was seldomly among the top5 foreigners throughout the year.

Edit: Need to fix account settings, my b-day isn't till July lol Edit 2: Guess I can't. 6 months ago...? Doesn't leenock play exclusively with this style? Leenock, nuff said
Not really, your argument is pretty damn poor...

Think about it this way guys, the upgrade difference between the two players was huge. I reckon that if there was a timing for faster upgrades for Zerg, MutaLingBling might still work. Or am I just kinda insane?

I don't think you're giving taeja's talent enough credit-there was the part where he was 0-0 against 2-0 for idra but managed to split so well that he only lost like 8 marines max...

Omg close this thread now, Orb maybe colorblind but the idra fans (well those like the one above: rabbet) are utterly ignorant and blind for clear text.
3 Posts, with a link to an official post from EG and the direct response: ignorance.
