You're joking right? Jjakji just took down Leenock who has top 2 ZvT in the world, Ganzi has probably top 4 TvZ in the world (though he's really not good at anything else), and Boxer has shown very good games lately! Sen doesn't stand a chance in hell at coming out of his group, just like Idra!
Also, Leenock is an absolute moron for picking Fin! Seriously, does the kid have a death wish?!?! That is the group of death IMO, much more so than C which is 2 great players and 2 good players as opposed to an ex-2-time-champion who's back on the rise, last season's finalist, a player who has shown vast improvement and gone deep in major tournaments recently, and the ex-BW champion that absolutely RAPED everyone on his way to code s!

Wow, poor Idra/Sen Welcome to code S, I suppose

I think Idra got his group for tickets to sell.... It worked for at least 1. =[

i kinda like this randomized tier selection thing, but imo, it should've been: top 4 of previous GSL + top 4 in points for tier 1; top 8 of previous GSL + top 8 in points for tier 2; (of course from here you can just go with GSL points as there is no guarantee that the top 16 of the previous GSL are even in code S anymore)

In all honesty, I'm not going to watch gsl just because of the amount of terrans, seriously. That is ridiculous. Have the terrans face off in tvt just to normalize the amount, having double the amount of terrans over each race is absolutely stupid. Or, cap the amount of terran slots, something at least needs to be done.

Go whine somewhere else please. Nothing can be done about that, that's just how it is.

Give it a chance. Things should start normalizing now that there are more opportunities for movement between Code S and Code A.

Having double the terrans is because at least double the terrans deserve to be here.
Code S should be the equivilent of an OSL in terms of exclusivity and difficulty, not the proleague.
Zerg and protoss players aren't playing as well in general.

Wow ridiculous groups.... so many team kills.
|
God, even a slumping Nestea is better than most code S players. Good luck, idra.

Happy definitely deserves Code S

Holy shit Code S is ridiculous. Also, wtfbbqultrafuck is going on with Group C. It's STACKED. Finishing not-last in that group is just about as hard as winning most of the other ones. In fact you could have the third best play in the tournament and still not make it out of your group.
I think these groups are pretty good, I'd say the weakest group is probably H? Which sounds weird because Nada, Keen and Puzzle are in it...

Lets start with Lucky, he earned his spot for Code S, by beating the likes of Huk, Monster and Alicia.
MVP and Nestea can play on a level that only MMA can seem to equal at times. If Nestea is on a slump, well he is still better than the rest.
Now Idra, he isn't Code S material, not in the sense that he earned a spot to be either, either through a foreign tournament or getting through Code A. Idra will most likely end up dead last in his group, hasn't been in Korea long enough and his opponents (yes, even Lucky) are superior players. It's because he's a foreigner. And he also happens to have a rabid fanbase. All of this gets in the way of rationality. I haven't seen him on a tough competitive scene for a long time so I won't say he's got absolutely 0% chance. He's probably got less than 5% chance though.NesTea won't lose to Idra in his star matchup, and we all know what MVP does to zergs. I don't know about Lucky, but reaching code S through regular conduit is no easy task at all. Idra has a tough group, and IMO the only real doubt is whether he's gonna be 3rd or last. If you refrain from watching MLGs, blizzard cups, etc, then don't spout stupid stuff like "he doesn't face competitive players"...
Idra didn't attend Blizzard Cup and only won against Puma @MLG Providence (who isn't code s material either..)

Supernova isn't all that good eaither anymore. New blood comes in. You like it or not, here it comes.
Where did you get that SuperNova isn't all that good anymore from? Besides TvP (where everyone seems to struggle kinda) he's done pretty well the last months (runner up WCG Korea, the gsl season before the last one he had a great run where he wrecked DRG). As his games vs MVP where pretty close I think he has a decent chance in his group as long he can somehow pull out a win against MC.
And yay, pretty happy that the populartiy invites ended up in groups where they'll get demolished

I think out of the Protoss players, only Oz and Puzzle derserve code S spots.

Rofl, good work naming a Terran who's reached the semis fairly recently, and consistently turns in awesome performances as being someone who shouldn't be in Code S >_>
Also hilarious that you list Parting when he's clearly one of the most interesting Toss prospects in ages and earned his spot by breezing past 3 opponents who were all Code S that season.

IdrA got shafted, holy crap.
I can't see him getting out of that barring he got a LOT better from Korea training.
|
I wouldn't be so quick to write Idra off. I mean Haypro beat Nestea, so anything's possible (in his ZvZs, he's pretty boned against MVP).

Ever considered that you cannot name Terrans that don't deserve Code S because... well... they're Terrans? Like, if there was an 80% win rate for Zerg, it'd be normal to say you can't name Zergs that don't deserve Code S, but would that be FAIR? Just saying, maybe balance is still retarderd at the highest GomTvT level... You might want to consider this, btw, Sen is pretty damn good and IdrA, well, is IdrA. Zenio, Inca, Parting and Happy have all won the Ups and Downs so they DESERVE to be there. No shit.

But, got to admit, I get sick of all these Terran games too.

Wow, I got like, the GREATEST idea ever on how Gomtv could sell more tickets:
Let the people pay by players in Code S. You Terran? You get twice as many games as P/Z for the same money. That's unfair. It'd be cooler if Gom sold tickets that allowed you to watch one races video's + Semi's and finals. And than, give a discount of 30% for Z/P in case half the games are Terran. In fact, I find that a whole lot more fair, I have nothing to gain from wathcing Tvt time and time again, it takes long, is boring, Idon't care about tank wars, I don't understand their shit, so actually, I pay for bs?
