Hey, if we listen to our Nintendo Wii, we're practically all overweight.
(Not me, my Wii suggests I eat butter. It even displays a picture of Paula Dean)

They just aren't really mentioned as being as such or advertised in such a way.
Well let's see. He posted a cartoon of an overweight gamer, contrasted western progamers with "active and healthy looking" Koreans (who stick to an exercise regimen), referred to westerners as being "unnatractive and unhealthy," and raised the question whether there should be an effort to improve western progamers' appearance. If you think weight isn't implied in any of that, and that it's only referring to stereotypes of gamers in general (rather than the appearance of progamers in particular), you're not smart. What aspect of western progamers' appearance does the OP want to improve besides weight? Their tan and maybe put some gel in their hair? Or nose jobs maybe? So, there is something wrong with the OP suggesting that the players improve their health and physical appearance, not only for themselves, but for the overall image of progamers? I don't understand what your issue is. Being overweight is unhealthy, that's a fact, not some mean opinion. Everyone could stand to exercise more and eat better. Our sick culture has made it a huge taboo to say anything negative about fat, but the fact is being really fat isn't healthy, nor does it look good to most people.

My point is that there's nothing much to be improved. Only 4 overweight progamers have been mentioned in this thread and I can't think of any more. There's no need to make a thread about a negligible percentage of the western progamer population.

The fact that you can only think of four makes me think you aren't that familiar with the roster of progamers...or you have a very loose definition of "overweight."

No. Just no.
What i like about esports is that you can be popular whatever your look is. I actually like to sometime see players in the booth that are not really good looking (and sometimes far from that). We have enough pressure with the society to take care of our look, we don't need that in esports.
If a player wants to take care of its fitness and look, that's up to him. Being in shape is obviously healthy and is already promoted by the society, it's not esports job to tell you that you should have balanced meals and exercise from time to time.
I get OP's point, he wants to drive more female fans into esports, well...if you want that, it's not going to happen through good looking players. If you want more female to get into SC2, then think at how you can get more female playing the game, liking it and then watching the pros. Not because they are handsome, but because their play is godlike and they understand that.

So i heard that Western Pro Gamers work out and have a pretty good body. I think I saw a picture on here but i cant find it. I tried googling image "western pro gamers body" but i couldn't find it. I want to see pictures of their nice body, anybody have it?

The OP's point was more about how our programers are PERCEIVED, rather than how they actually are. I feel like it was less of a suggestion that they all get fit, and more of a suggestion that we promote progamers as sex symbols more, like "real" athletes, which I feel like could be interesting at the very least, if not good for expanding esports to a wider audience.

We need weigh ins and stare downs such as in UFC also, preferably with shirtless progamers flexing.

You gotta start somewhere. Investment into looks is where sc2 progamers can start. It will help them beyond gaming too, anyways.

Just because you're not overweight doesn't make you handsome nor does it give you sex appeal. That's something you have to work for. And either openly admitting or unconsiously, you'll have a biased opinion on a person based on their looks. Also, try to tell me that sexy people don't draw attention, because they do. And if pros don't want to shape themselves for the sake of eSports, they should consider it for the sake of their own marketing.
