In general, I think the image of gamers will improve with time as technology as a whole becomes more integrated in our lives. In the short term, some more focused marketing couldn't hurt though.

You cant just magically wave a wand and make western progamers buff and stylish. It has to be something they want to do. Like working out...korean progaming houses have work-out schedules. Western progamers are spread out among tens of countries.

This wont happen anytime soon especially because all of the western "pro gamers" are seemingly completely deluded and think they are really handsome and charming, and also there are so little female fans to help say otherwise.
The thing I dislike about western gamers however is that most of them act like spoiled children, so I wouldn't even care if they did look after themselves...
Korean bw pro gaming had a really good image though, I still like watching bw to see all the awesome teams/players!
