Tier 2 is like everyone who went down to code A sometime 2011, and Tier 3 is everyone we've wanted to see for a while in Code S. Only missing Fruitdealer...
It seems like a good decision, as it should prevent MC from picking the strongest group and droping into Code B. At least in the Ro32.
I would like at least one Protoss to get into the Ro8 at least. MC has shown some improvement, but I think there are some better Toss players (Puzzle has great TvP, I've watched some of his latest games, and they're great).

I want an MVP, Nestea, DRG, fin group (to be remembered as the harshest draw ever), as well as an Oz, Nada, IdrA & Sen group (because I love those guys).

When does this GSL begin?

Wishlist for GSL January:
- Either Sen or Idra actually makes it out of their group - Inca back in Code A where he belongs - Leenock, Forgg and Bomber in the ro8 - A non TvT final

Sen and Idra have very poor crisis management and micro compared to the top korean zergs. I think the koreans will use very aggressive playstyles against them and send them down to code a without much trouble. This GSL will be pretty bad overall for zerg i think. Idra, Sen, Yugioh, Zenio, Lucky are more like code a quality. Curios has enough qualities to upset a few bigger names though.

Even as a T och Z player, I'm really rooting for Parting. Last time I saw him he looked better than probably any toss I've seen.

Damn ForGG why you so baws. From Code B to S in 1 season Anyways good good good format.

Interesting system. I must say though, I am having more and more trouble understanding how everyone is seeded and move around in the new system. I think its for the better....but its still a bit confusing.

You should label it differently so people don't go in intending to see the new groups
Nice system, and I love seeing Boxer in code S!

I fully expect gom to put MC or Zenio in Idra's group. It's random drawing to a point. They make good story lines (idra vs zenio or nada vs boxer), even out the race distrubution then randomize from there.

It doesn't matter if the groups truly are random or completely handpicked by GOM off-screen - people are going to yell that it's a fix in order to boost their revenues like in the Open Seasons.
I would personally love to see the draw live, not only to prevent the possibility of a "fix" but also because I like watching draws (as others have mentioned - CL draws, Euro's/WC draws etc). It adds excitement just like the group picking ceremony does, just without the banter (which we'll see next round anyway).

I know DongRaeGu's main accomplishment and claim to fame was the GSTL, but I feel he should be higher :/

The tiers were not subjective. There were based on GSL points from the individual leagues in 2011. And unfortunately, DRG didn't do that well in the 2 he was in (Ro16, Ro32) and Blizzard Cup didn't have points assigned. That is why he is in Tier 3.
