I hope you know the Ro32 has no picking, it's random.

The GSL champion and runner up pick their first opponent from Tier 4
I hope you know the Champion and Runner-up pick their first group member.
And yes, Leenock's pick will be very interesting.

I like this format; I'm excited to see how it will play out
The tiers of 32 have 8 Protosses, 9 Zergs, and 15 Terrans. With Terran as half of Code S, have the race ratios improved at all?

MVP Nestea DRG ForGG
Now that would be one hella group of death...

The race ratios have improved massively. There have been 20+ terrans in code S recently.

Maybe, but he's still the person I'm rooting for.

I love how the random drawings aren't completely random with the tier system in play. It's a great way to make each of the groups somewhat balanced.
But I'm still going to miss the Ro32 Group Selections. Those 2-3 hours of occasional drama and trash talking were something I looked forward to every new season of GSL.

Let's not forget the Jinro incident. God that was hilarious.

how many slayers are in code s?
MMA, Puzzle, Ganzi, Boxer, Yugioh and Brown. So 6 Slayers and I guess 0.5 for Idra (EG/Slayers). Would be funny to have Idra is same group with MMA or Ganzi. Then none of the Slayers terrans will help him practice...
Also, I think another reason we see Code S being stronger than ever is because of the format. In the previous format, we had people that went 1W-2L from the previous season still in Code S.
Now we have
1) Top 8 last season 2) Top 16 last season and then winning in the final round of Code A 3) 17-32 Code S that dropped to Code A last season but won several rounds in Code A 4) New players who went from B to A to S 5) Up and Down Winners (some who went 5-0, 4-0, 4-1, etc and at a minimum 3-2,2-2) 6) The 2 foreign seeds
So everyone is on a 'winning streak' of sorts. Guess the people that went 3-2,2-2 can be viewed as the weakest at the moment (Boxer, Inca, JYP) and Idra and Sen since it is hard to gauge their level vs Koreans.

is there a reason idra is tier 3 and sen tier 4 ?

So i see all deserving spots but 2, i just can't agree on inviting foreigners right into code S, makes GSL feel very gimmicky. And i know short term win would be money from foreign fans, particulary smart to do that in January, so foks can get a GSL pass for the entire year, but that makes you really really profit focused without thinking to far ahead.

Can't say I agree with seeds, although, wasn't Idra Code S before he left? That said, I can agree with seeds from winning other big name tournaments, but not just being put in for the sake of being put in. Foreigners in Code S? Awesome, but make them earn it somehow.

8 out of 32 isn't too bad. Protoss are doing better than I thought.
|
I think it's Oz, not Z.
Besides that, inb4 BoxeR gets a group made of Leenock/Nestea/BoxeR/Fin.
|
Actually, gomtv has always listed Oz as FXO_z. So kind of makes sense for them to have him as 'Z'

Idra vs Zenio would be a highlight for me not only the personal grudge between them but the EG vs Liquid rivalry over best foreign team.
I dont really know if they have a rivalry, but in my head they do
