My prediction of players in this team:

  • XiGua - Invictus Gaming. Arguably the greatest Chinese player and one of the "really fucking scary" Zergs. Seeing as he got a 2nd place finish in WCG 2011, I think he'd be wanting to flex his SC2 muscles in more international events.
  • LoveCD - World Elite. Not much known about him, a Chinese player who lost 4 - 1 to MC in a StarsWar invitational tourney.
  • Sen - Gama Bears. A Taiwanese team and player but I have a feeling if Sen's coming back to the GSL as a Code S invitee, they might try and get in touch with Gama Bears and ask them for permission to include Sen in their coalition team.
  • Lyn - Pandarea Gaming (not technically Chinese but part of a Chinese team. Seeing as he was one of the seriously recogniseable Korean WC3 players, they would probably try and sign him.
  • Ace - Pandarea Gaming. Another former WC3 player, supposedly really good in the Chinese scene.

pretty solid, but Ace has been inactive from competetive scene for a while, this spot might be LoveTT, also you should count F91 and Macsed in.

my roster are:
XiGua
Macsed
Uhen
F91
LoveTT
Sen

Sen can't be in the team, the Chinese hate him with a passion that most people reserve for horses.

Nobody hate sen in China.Do you know F91 and sen are very good friends? They often practice together.

Sen was on both Fnatic and DuskBin with a completely Chinese roster except their manager, Ash. I don't think they hate him at all...

LOL @ the people suggesting SEn on a China Union team... you guys realize Taiwan and China pretty much hate each other right? There was even an incident at WCG when Chinese players demanded that a Taiwan player not use the Taiwanese flag. Its pretty serious business.

Like I already said... Sen was on 2 different teams with all Chinese players... Nobody hates him.

I think Chinese fans call him Chen because of that famous Edison Chen.

Some updates:
Sen is not likely to be part of this Chinese Team.
Negotiation among the top Chinese teams are underway, it's up to them to send players or not, currently we can only confirm most iG members will go.
There is over 50% possibility that this will come true, but nothing is on the table yet.
No problem at all on Korean side, even they might give Code A spots for them.

This is not surprising. It would be a cool political move of unity, but that shit ain't gonna happen any time soon.

Unfortunate Sen can't play for China Union, but it's inevitable but this is a risky issue no one wanna touch on.
Thank God and gunrun.

Yep, I was born and raised in Taiwan. No hate, just some prejudice sometimes from various segments of the population. Otherwise, we often go to China for our holidays, and likewise the rich chinese often travel to Taiwan to check out this "interesting" island of chinese culture which has not had Communism implemented.

This would be a beastly line up, props to gsl for allowing this and props to the organisers on the chinese side. Not that much is known of chinese players by western viewers, their scene although undeniably formidable has a lot of potential still left in it. With their massive people power no doubt some freakish talent has/can emerge.

china is perhaps the only country that could potentially beat korea at starcraft, and potentially the biggest esports market in the world. they already have the work ethic and mentality, so just look at what they've done to dota. hopefully this will accelerate starcraft's popularity in that country.

also for the people chiming in on china/taiwan relations, most young people view both as ethnic chinese, and thats good enough for them. tensions only flare during elections when politicians try to rile up nationalism for votes.

PJ was a baller, too bad he isnt playing anymore
PJ vs Bisu

I dare to say that all-star chinese + Sen team could win team league, given the fact that better koreans players didnt switch and China had few great talents.

There no way Sen will be on the Chinese team. He will get too much flak from the Taiwanese media and his Taiwanese fans if he does.

LoveTT is amazing! I hope he is on the team.

I'm hoping this could set off a round of starcraft2/esports growth in China, and attract a round of talent from wc3
