Our four highest Korean finishers this year (three of whom were MLG Champions) will have their trips to the National Championships covered. Their bracket seeds will be based on the points they've earned in competitions this Season. Congratulations to MMA, MVP, Bomber, and MC on their accomplishments and we will see each of them in Providence fighting it out for the $50,000 first prize Completely seperate from the exchange program did you say? If your going to quote something you should give a source so people can ready the article. MC was the eighth highest player in points earned at MLG events, as can be seen here: http://pro.majorleaguegaming.com/competitions/25#event_54_top_16_and_competitor_list This means he qualified for MLG providence without any exchange program, as the top 16 players in MLG scores were given a place in the championship bracket at providence.

You don't think GOM should have told Naniwa or his team or mlg or the community that they were all wrongly assuming that naniwa had a birth for code-S, if the story really is the way GOM is saying?

You can even visit the site yourself at this very second and confirm it: http://www.gomtv.net/2011gslsponsors3/news/65291 At every 2011 Pro Circuit Live Competition after MLG Columbus, GSL placement will occur as follows: Code S status will be awarded to the highest placing player, regardless of country of origin, who doesn't already have Code S status. So lets check what the requirement for winning a code S spot in MLG is according to GOMTV's official website. The tournament has to be in has to be in 2011. Check. Pro Circuit Live Competition. Check. After MLG Columbus. Check. Highest placing player, regardless of country of origin, who doesn't already have Code S status. Leenok was first and he is already in Code S, Naniwa was second. Check. So please inform us, just based on this piece alone, which is the official word from GOMTV when they announced the prize, wouldn't they give out the prize as they've promised? Do you generally defend tournaments who do not give out their announced prizes or is it just gomtv for some reason? Every GSL was lined up with an MLG, so the winner of MLG gets to play Code S right after. It seems like MLG providence was never part of the deal because there was no Code S season after it, there was no seeded group play/Korean GSL seeds, and the format was different. You can believe otherwise, and you are welcome to do so, but so far it seems you are just nitpicking at tiny semantics. Let's look at Instinct, Halo champions of MLG. The tournament has to be in has to be in 2011. Check. Pro Circuit Live Competition. Check. After MLG Columbus. Check. Highest placing player, regardless of country of origin, who doesn't already have Code S status. Yeah they placed #1 and don't have Code S status. Check.

I don't know why people are so pissed off. He'll get knocked down to code A after the first week. then code B. MMA and DRG are forever code A. MC was code B before he won code S from MLG Orlando. SO know what you're saying pls

What we would like to ask from all of the GSL fans is to not simply see this incident as just a simple meaningless single game between NaNiWa and NesTea. The act of purposefully losing a match, whatever the underlying reasons may be, does always also have a psychological effect on the other players. By tolerating such behavior, purposefully losing might be deemed as a legitimate action and we might see more of such matches in the future, which is something that surely neither the fans nor the players would appreciate. Well said.

the best way to legitimately be intolerant of certain actions is to have rules against them.

MC is a 2 time Code S champion and a semifinalist in the Blizzard Cup. DRG is a GSTL champion a semifinalist of the Blizzard cup.
