Huhh... I don't like the idea of Idra taking Code S directly. Sure it's to make up for the naniwa thing, but he really should work from down there to achieve it.
It's not a matter of if he deserves it, it's a matter of how used he is to GSL. It will be a huge blow to go insta-codeS for him and he is not used to that. I do think that he will be able to maintain himself, but I'd prefer to see him working from down there.

I think the "IdrA being the most popular foreigner" argument is irrelevant, he had a Code S spot before he left for NA, it's only right that he be allowed the chance to return.
He had a code S spot like half a year ago that he forfeited. Why should he get a invite back again, essentially bypassing the currently much harder qualification rounds? I think it's a sign of good-will from GOM to the people outside of Korea, even if most won't see it that way. While they punish Naniwa, they give code S to Idra and Sen with the mindset of "hey, we still respect other people from foreign countries, let's give these popular players a chance".
It feels like a handout to me. It isn't fair to the great players still stuck in code A/B either. People lost interest in NASL S2 becuse there were no koreans and now GOM give away spots in the most prestigious SC2 tournament to foreigners. Everything seems messed up somehow.

Giving out 2 Code S spot to players that didnt earn it in the MLG exchange program wtf is going on here. Yeah man. I remember when SjoW and the gang got sent to Korea thanks to the MLG exchange program, everyone was full of praise and said that they were going to "tear up Code A" like it was totally fair for all the other Koreans struggeling in Code B. Now when Naniwa gets thrown out and Idra and Sen gets invited due to foreign turnament results the competition is suddenly unfair and invalid. People should seriously consider not looking through coloured glasses all the time. I don't personally agree with the MLG-GSL program, but at least it was an established way of getting in Code A and constituted one of two legitimate ways of qualifying in it. It's known by everyone that you could compete in Code A by either competing in the Code A qualifiers in Korea or by competing in an MLG and getting a high enough place to qualify for Code A. This on the other hand is completely different. Do you actually know why Idra and Sen got seeded to play in Code S? There weren't any qualifiers for those spots, they were hand-picked by GOM to be directly placed into their highest league. No, getting "good foreign tournament results" isn't good enough if they didn't establish beforehand in which tournaments and how good of results you need to get to qualify for Code S. How about Hero, shouldn't he get a seed because of Dreamhack? How about Puma? This isn't about Idra or Sen mind you, it's about getting two players to play in Code S just because GOM feels like it. That completely undermines the competitive aspect of the league. This, completely. I honestly can't understand this move by GOM, it's utterly justified. Why not DeMuslim? He's also in Code A like Idra was through the same method. Why not Puma? Why not Hero? Yongwha? Fruitdealer, he's a fan favourite, why not him? WHY? Please, I actually wish they would put out a statement justifying this move.

I hope that he proves all the haters wrong :D

Final my favourite player Sen got a chance

well i guess they're both awesome players and more deserving than most of the foreigners
still none of those two seeds seem really earned to me, wouldn't be surprised if they get their asses kicked in the 1st round.

He is a foreigner, he is well known and they want him in the GSL because he makes good entertainment.

I agree with what r1ch tweeted
R1CH_TL Richard Stanway Players should have to earn a spot in Code S via skill, arbitrarily seeding people directly in cheapens it. Smart business move though.

I don't see where this sentiment comes from. He absolutely is Code S material. If he ever gets his ZvP up to par with his ZvZ and ZvT, he might become the best Zerg on the planet.

Fair enough, idra gave up his code S spot so he gets it again awesome move.

I don't agree with the exchange program either or any sort of invite based turnaments. My point was that when SjoW and company went to Code A everyone was saying that it was justified. Now when Idra and Sen (both which are a lot more acomplished than everyone else that went through the same exchange program) the competition is suddenly invalid. Which is quite ridiculous.
Yes, they are playing in GSL because GOM feels like it. Just like it is with every single invite based turnament. Would you or anyone for that matter seriously argue that DH's invites undermines the competition?

I don't agree with them GOM just giving away Code S spots.
Code A i can understand, even Up and Down.
But man Code S should be earned!

This feels so unfair. So many people working hard to get one of those precious code S spots and idra and sen just got one for free. =( They should have done some matches to decide to that or at least give the extra 2 spots spots for the up and down.
So now, HuK after so much ahrd work trying to stay in code S is gonna still have to face Up and downs and idra just got there for free? If it was to be given for free they should at least given one to HuK who's the only foreigner that's been truly loyal to GSL tournament all this time. =(
