The 2 spots were already planned and has nothing to do with nani dropping out.
I was just going by what artosis said on the blizzzcup stream, he said sen was taking nani's spot.

Exactly. I mean, he's a great player capable of great performances - Blizzcon and NASL for example, but other than these 2 tourneys he hasn't really done much over the past year. Sporadically popping up every now and then to do well in tourneys, but then disappearing for long periods of time.

It seems very harsh, but Naniwa hurt their product, and should have shown willingness to compete, despite the result in themselves didn't matter in terms of getting through the group. (E)-sport is entertainment, and even if it's their living(pro-gamers), they should be aware that this is what they are, and how they get money also.
Sen is probably the best foreigner, so he deserves a spot.
IdrA "deserves" his place through last time he was there, even if things were so much different back then, and IdrA, unlike now, was one of the best Zergs/players in the world. This being said, I am glad he gets the chance.
Too bad about Naniwa, as I am a big fan of his.

Sen or Idra HAVE to be taking Naniwa's spot.
There are only 32 spots for Code S. Eight for the Code S quarter finalists. Twelve for the Code A winners. Ten for the Up-and-Down winners. One for MLG Providence. One to be given out for whatever.
The last one was given to Idra, I guess. Which means Sen, to be given a direct spot into Code S, would have to be taking Naniwa's spot or there would be 33 players.

Idra leaves korea for more money in tournaments = professional lets put him back in code S Naniwa leaves the west to train in korea and compete in GSl = money hunter not a pro lets kick him out after earning his spot

So who replaces idra in the up and down group he was supposed to be in? With Coca(unless he's allowed to play agian)/Idra out of up and downs there will be 2 groups with 1 less player than the last one

Idra loves his monies so i don't think he really cares about honour and pride that much. Don't think Sen will refuse either.
Not everybody can be a big man like Jinro. Jinro hwaiting!

Fionn bringing the math ( I feel like a forum fangirl).
I still feel weird about this. I mean I like Sen and all and he has a tendency to finish just behind whatever koreans are busy winning a tournament but I'm not sure he deserves to be just gifted a code S seed. I dunno maybe it's bias talking or something but I would have preffered to have seen that seed really earned by whoever got it in some sort of impromptu tournament or something.

Idra got Naniwa's MLG Providence spot correct? He was the highest placed foreigner aside from Naniwa (who got booted) and Haypro (who refused the spot).

He didn't disappear. He chose to play at Taiwan, where his home is, instead of travel 20+ hours to Europe to play some small tournaments. He has done more than you could imagine, including BroodWar days. Besides, Sen finished 3rd at BlizzCon while Naniwa finished 4th.
Artosis just confirmed at BlizzardCup stream, Naniwa's spot is replaced by Sen. IdrA got code S from another spot.

He has the best chance of taking the 3rd spot.

If GOM can't find a good enough foreigner who won the tournament, i assume stephano rejected, then why not give to code S spot to a korean who actually won a major foreign tourney? Why so fixated on foreigners when you have code A spots, Up and down group spots. This is just plain unfair to the koreans in code A/B who have no money to travel overseas for exposure and can't get into code S due to the stacked nature of the tournaments.
Unfortunately, money speaks.

Gratz to Idra and Sen. Pls practice up so that you guys can give the Koreans a run for their money!
