I don't know I think there would have been much more fair ways of giving the spot but of course they just want to use Idra's popularity. well considering idra never dropped down fromm code s its slightly more appropriate i think.

He didn't even try to argue that it had a chance to win. It had 0% chance to win. He lost it in the quickest way possible except just typing gg and leaving. You can argue that punishing him for forfeiting the game is wrong, but arguing that it's 'a bad strat' is just stupid. What are your thoughts on 6pooling then ?

If you actually look into Sen's accomplishment, defeating Naniwa at BlizzCon for 3rd place, NASL season 1 3rd place, NASL season 2 3rd place. This has been confirmed by Artosis. Naniwa should just go back to Sweden since he can't participate, no point staying in KR.

I like Sen's play, but this is a bit of an arbitrary qualification.

I do not feel it's fair for any other player that he get's his spot back almost a year later. At times i like Idra's play and i love a foreigner in code S but it should be fought for and only then can we really feel proud as a foreign community.

So what do you think about all the professional athletes who play on even in meaningless league games? You think its okay for them to just fuck the match up in the most obvious way? I assure you that most sports fans and professional bodies will have an equally huge reaction. We want SC2 to be considered a legitimate sport, lets try and help enforce a higher level of professionalism. I don't in anyway consider it to be beneficial to a sport that people expect 100% professionals to forgo competition for entertainment. When you start asking and expecting people to start entertaining it becomes a very weird line where your fighting between whether these players and in some cases athletes, are competitors or just someone whos out there to entertain, which seems almost anti professional competition. Professional competitors don't enter tournaments to cater to the audience, they do it to compete. Like pure entertainment is borderline a mockery of cut throat competition that happens to be entertaining. If entertainment was the point of competitive sc2, games like leenock vs naniwa (mlg prov final) and almost every GSL final would not happen because although they were at the peak of competition they were abysmally un-entertaining.

The MLG winner (or highest finisher in top 3 without code S) would normally be one of the 2 seeded code S players, I don't know what they had planned for the other spot. Naniwa was one of the Code S seeds through MLG, there was still another one that was unknown. So after removing Naniwa's seed, they had two Code S seeds to fill (without anyone in Code S leaving).

If they start with this, you will never know where they will stop. What if they want games that last more than 12 min ? they will ban other strats that are shorter than this ? Anyway it's their tournament so they do whatever they want. But it sends signal about it "being a joke tournament" ( meaning they re breaking general unspoken rules ). If the player ( nani ) had deliberately said before/in-game/after ( i'm going to throw this game away ) then the sanction would have been justified. Anyway it gives another shot at Idra and an interesting one at Sen. A probe rush while trying to win the game versus a probe rush with no micro are very different things. This wasn't a "bad strat" it was a non-strat. Stop defending it.
