This was hilarious. I'm entertained. Nani is right. People who feel like the sacred tradition of progaming has been disrespected and tarnished need to get over themselves.

That Naniwa will not hurt you anymore! on a side note, according to snowbird's twitter (gomtv's admin), they have already decided to never invite Naniwa to another special tournament outside of the main GSL tournament due to the negative responses from the Korean viewers. So what I'm trying to say is... we should stop arguing over this because the verdict has been decided. i think that's a pretty fair decision. nothing that would affect qualifications that he can earn, but no more invites to invite only stuff. kudos to gom for that.

maybe it's the culture difference but seems absolutely ridiculous to me that a player would do something like this and should be harshly criticized for it. (this is irrespective of the player's nationality of course.)

A lot of the times, Progamers make most of their income from their team, from streaming, and from sponsorship deals. A lot of the times, tournament winnings are just a bonus.

Just google "shame of gijon" for example... For me it is more a shame, that a lot of the esports community have no idea about professional sport. It's like naniwa pointed out, if he would have 4gated no one whould have complained, but he didn't want to waste our time. They are at the same time to prevent matchfixing. There are still many matches in football and other sports that matter as much as the match Nani threw away, and they all get played out. You don't see teams kicking the ball in their own net and then leaving the pitch because they don't care.

Nani needs to realize there is more than just playing games to being a pro-sc2 player. This is just another thing to add to the list. You have major organizations that won't even touch this guy, despite being amazing at this game. That speaks volumes about him.

So you can be disqualified for "invitational tournaments" because the viewers didn't like your behaviour? Shame on you GOMTV...

Naniwa didnt attack his own units and he didn't leave the game before it was over so your comparisons are moot.

They just won't invite him anymore. They can decide who they invite based on whatever they want, that's why it's called invitational. I personally appreciate that GomTV is strict with those things.

The sensationalist community has to vilify someone, I suppose.

I will NEVER watch another GOM cast or give them my money again because of this. If you want to know why, please see my post on page 30.

Shame on you GOMTV... if you read the actual twitter post, he mentioned that nani won't be invited to invitationals. it has no effect on things he can qualify for, such as the main GSL tournament. how is that a problem?

Also, I'm still pissed that Stephano just barely didn't qualify as his play is so unique and I think that seeing him versus Koreans would be the ultimate treat and a great display of foreigner skill.

And Naniwa should not have played it like this.
