^ This. Definately.... Korea's obesity rate is really low and those bastids are so kind to different people.

I mean what does he weigh in at, 300+ lbs? I can't support someone who can't support himself. I'm fairly positive that if I played half as much as this kid I'd be as "good" or better- easily(I am masters with only a couple hundred games played, a job and school does that). I'm almost positive he's going to get crushed no matter where he goes and the only reason people follow him at all is because he's mildly entertaining on his stream.
Looks are important, they tell you a lot about a person- and I'm not talking about the specific details, but the overall picture. I don't hang out with people who smell or have no self control and that's a huge turn off, especially if we're talking about supporting said people. I want to see people work hard so I can support them with a smile and sincerely talk them up.
There are alot of cirumstances where people aren't able to do anything about how they look, or smell.

...and then there are people wondering, why many starcraft 2 fans don't want to be on this site, and don't post here...
also: why do you occupy this thread? why don't you write a blog about your workouts and your diet?

GL in korea, but u will waste ur time PS why a team would send a unachieved player in korea? they have no proof of any future reward. I mean its like a huge lost of money
|
Got to love how a discussion about someone moving can turn into flaming >.>
Can you really blame someone to take the opportunity he got? I mean, lets be honest: if the opportunity presented itself to play StarCraft in Korea and everything worked out just right, how many of us would actually turn it down?
I don't follow player's streams all that much, so I can't say I'm familiar with desRow, but hopefully he'll find something of value in Korea.

If u try atleast for 1 minute to see this news from a third person view..not some "fanboy" view u can clearly see desrow has issues managing NA/EU players...what do u expect him to improve in Korea? he hasn't achieved even 50% of what he could possibly achieve as a "foureigner" and he just jump-starts to korea lol. Let me put it another way...if u have no clue how to drive a car..and u automatically buy a Bugatti...that won't make u a better driver at all.
Seriously i dunno what's up with the hate on Chill as long as he (even if he might have said it a bit rough) is completely right. Desrow is like a Destiny with less skill and....well...viewers? lol. He's a long way from being good enough for NA/EU and if u actually see and analyze his games not "fanboy mode" u will see he struggles in ALOT of them.
Also because he is relatively unkown to the pro-scene..who do u think he will train with? U think any of the big pro players there will even consider wasting their time with someone unkown? or practice with players who they know participate and actually place well/win at major competitions.
Idra..huk..naniwa...destiny...major...all go there because they know they find good practice partners just based on their results AND very important..they know they can't get better on the NA/EU servers so they have to move... As a korean who would u play..an idra or a desrow.....a naniwa or a desrow.....a destiny or a desrow....a major or a desrow? (even if they didn't have partnerships with teams there). All fourgeiners in Korea are at the level that allows them to compete with koreans.
most of the players you mention just ladder....

gl man look forward to running into you on korean ladder

I've only really gotten to know Desrow through him coaching LAGTV's Maximusblack and from what I've seen of him, I wish him the absolute best of luck in Korea!
|
Why? Because I can't take this sh*t seriously. It's embarrassing. It's actually ruining esports for me seeing unaccomplished players who are only known for being entertaining behind a webcam being sent overseas to get for the most part slaughtered by people who are passionate about improving and working hard. I have absolutely no problems getting behind players like huk or even sheth (who happens to also be overweight, but is a good person and respects other people and their lifestyles and is passionate about improving at the game and helping others).
This is going to only further strengthen the stereotypes that westerners are fat lazy slobs who don't take life (or the game even) seriously and koreans are dominant, just further validating those stereotypes.

good luck desRow.GOMTv house is really good with ToD and SaSe.

HOLY SHIT AWESOME DESROW FIGHTING!

Destiny goes to Korea, flight paid by his team, stays for 2 weeks. Incontrol stays 1 week. Thorzain stays a few weeks. Sheth took the return flight home. Banjo stayed a month or two.
Desrow flies there on his own dime, plans to stay 6 months or more. He knows Koreans are gonna make fun of him for being fat. He knows westerners will tease him for his french accent. He knows he will get destroyed on ladder for the first weeks or even months.
You have to respect the guy for throwing himself out there with no safety nets. I think hes going to have an awesome time, regardless of how he does in the game.

Desrow can do whatever he wants with his life and his money. I seriously hope he does well so we can have another great foreinger pro to be proud of.

That makes me wonder .. Why would Incontrol go for 1 week ? Does he expect some magic to happen with whole korean team telling him incredible strats or something ? The latency from EG to KR server aint that bad.. He should go for at least 1 month
GL to desrow, even thought I think he still have a lot to improve before going there I hope he does well.
