But now? Stephano has yet to prove how he handles himself against the very very best (which he will soon enough). Until he does, I can't see how you can come to this best SC2 player conclusion.

How anyone with a brain cannot see that IMMVP is the best player in the world hands down is a mystery to me. This coming from a Zerg player that still hates everything non Zerg.

Speed up to the actual tournament. Korean Code S players are suddenly rolled by this French Zerg, and I said rolled. Not just because he had a weird infestor plus really highly upgraded lings combo against Terran, but also because he played a weird style of ZvP that either outright killed Protosses or slowly constricted them until Broodlords make players like EG_Incontrol cry about how sad his race was. ZvZ was equally as impressive for not only me, but anyone watching him. Stephano went on to win that tournament, and not without some insane memories like the Mothership vortex by Kiwkaki on Shattered Temple. At the end of it call Stephano decisively eliminated the following Koreans from his path: FXO_Lucky (4-0 in the finals) Ogs_TheSTC FXO_Inori MVP_Violet Slayers_Boxer Slayers_MMA This french Zerg, who had been dominating EU ladder and even placed #1, was unbeknowst by other pro players. EG_Incontrol even admitted he had no idea who this guy was, although he crashed through waves of Code S korean players and made his wins look so convincing. The only Code S player in that list is MMA and Stephano didn't beat him at the LAN, but at the online qualifiers for the LAN, which for MMA was played at something like 6 AM, at which point MMA had already qualified for the tournament after staying up all night playing qualifiers, the last of which being a very long and difficult series against July which he won with a comeback. And Stephano didn't roll him, he won 2-1. Btw, Stephano did play a Code S Korean in the LAN, he played alive and got rolled 2-0 in the group stages...

I guess he was arbitrary born with high IQ (or whatever the attributes for being good at SC2 would be, dunno.) Maybe no matter how hard and long HuK, IdrA, Kas and many other practices, they will never beat him anyway. Well atleast he only practices for a few hours a day, so they can actually beat him with his current practice schedule. It's possible, but who knows. At anyrate how undeserving and boring that would be... I don't believe what I wrote but it's very interesting! ![]()
