Why not use official channels and clear out confusion before announcing stuff instead of this shit flinging crap in reddit posts?

Naniwa probably wants to be left alone to train and only train and that was a problem for coL. Of course, pure speculation but it seems reasonable. Anyway, I love Naniwa so gl to wherever he goes in the future. I dunno, Quantic seems pretty big on doing community outreaching stuff. Remember when they were doing all those interviews with the IM players?

I don't know. Major League Gaming, probably the best SC2 tournament in the world, or at least outside Korea. Nestea, one of the most respected players in Korea and the world?

People were assuming he was kicked out for a whole 10ish pages refusing to read NaNi's statement on the matter when it was the only extra piece of information available, that is all I am pointing out. It is called reading between the lines. complexity approached quantic, which means they wanted to get rid of naniwa's contract. Naniwa didnt fit with complexity's "core values." Jason lake's reddit statement only confirms the facts and that nani was possibly lying in his statement.

They didn't have to purchase him, NaNiWa's contract was transferred over to QxG without an actual buy if I'm not mistaken, because coL would have to wait a while yet to transfer more players to Korea, I'm assuming they have QXC in mind. Interesting, not sure if I saw this coming, but as long as he's in Korea he'll be happy, same as MajOr

I'm not going to get into a public argument and wish him the very best but this was a one way decision. His contract was being sold (to Quantic or someone else) whether he approved or not." Which translates to: I don't want to say anything bad, but I'm going to proceed to say that we don't care what our players want. Or he was STRONGLY implying that Naniwa had pissed off the team. Either way, he was getting into a public argument in the very statement where he said he didn't want to. And terse little laws like "whether he approved or not" imply a management style of which I don't approve. I don't see how he said, "We don't care what our players want". That's some pretty crazy extrapolation from something that isn't event hinted at. He does plainly state that Naniwa is not being entirely honest about no future English speaking teammates coming to Korea, I see no problem with calling someone who is lying to make themselves look better provided that is the case, we aren't sure. The second was a pretty clear statement that they were going to remove him from the team and were looking to do so, effectively suggested he was being "kicked out" in a sense. Considering his history, I'm sort of leaning towards Complexity's side but it seems they didn't know what they were getting into despite Odee briefing them on what to expect.

Nestea mentioned Naniwa in his last interview, if anything it was a good publicity stunt ![]()

Also, "boredom" isn't a reason to leave one of the biggest MGCs in the business. I'm sure there were many issues involved, which makes me quite impressed with the fact that complexity still manages to keep it relatively calm and classy. Hope it works out for everyone ![]() LE: yeah, same story every x months, and still there's people who go "hmm. probably the managers were bad or the team didn't fulfill enough expectations, maybe some boredom as well" :D so silly ^^

They aren't a small business anymore, there's alot of money involved yet their PR skills seem so bad both now and with the Stephano deal. Why not use official channels and clear out confusion before announcing stuff instead of this shit flinging crap in reddit posts? Small business anymore? Yeah, I think a G7 might be aware they aren't small time. Jason Lake knows better than you, me, and everyone on this forum. We aren't in a place to criticize him. Rather disgusting if you ask me, to think that someone outside of the G7 can have such a bold position and not defer to our elders in eSports.

Not anything alike, actually. Not even remotely. Even leaning towards Complexity's side in this, Naniwa having his contract sold is nothing like breaking a contract.
