Lim Yohwan built programing as a profession in Korea. Without him, we might not even have GSL, MLG, IPL, or Team Liquid. This entire scene might not exist had it not been for him. Boxer is the icon of esports, programing, and character. Do you think he would stand by and let someone just spit over his life's work like that? Coca is young, and messed up big-time. Maybe he didnt deserve to lose his code s spot. But this incidence was matchfixing, no matter how petty. Slayers should have laid down some punishment at least.

When Idra left Korea, they just had him forfeit all his games in his group. Putting Taeja or anyone else in Coca's spot would screw up the Code A brackets.

So harsh by slayers | ||

They are professional gamers and should treat all broadcast games seriously. No man! Have you never done anything stupid in your life!? Poor Coca and Byun are the victims here! ... Seriously, I hold the integrity of the sport over personal regard for the players. There's enough good players out there, but it's way harder to rebuild people's trust in the integrity of the sport once it has been compromised.

EG one happened was because demuslim couldnt attend ESWC and was later clarified by the commentators so it ended up being no big deal. I dont think the coca and byun one is that serious either, they were just really stupid to do in chat... I dont mind what Coca did (with them being friends and coca already being in code S) but you cant reveal it to a public forum/broadcast like that.

im obviously very biased in my opinion but if the tournament didnt mean anything, should the punishment be so severe? maybe ban the two from that specific tournament for a while? either way, i think coca will come back extremely dominant if he is put on layaway for time, the fact that we dont get to see it happen live is very disappointing on a side note, i did my liquidbets and voted for coca, then immediately went back to the home page and this story just pops up... =(
