김가연 is jessica, its a mistranslation. Interestingly, this shows the difference between Korean and foreign scenes. Korean forums exploded regarding this issue, and most people agree that Byun's punishment is way too lenient and he should be kicked out of the teamhouse as well.

So he did it because Boxer told him to essentially. Can you guys even imagine having Boxer that angry at you? Damn son. Like the look of disapproval you get from your father when you come home drunk for the first time. ![]()

Imagine if this happened at a MLG championship bracket.. everyone would be upset. From the replays during ESV TV games for the majority of the weeks, there is always chatter during the games. I suppose ESV TV should be more strict about in game talking and tell the players participating. Whether or not ESV would give a Code A spot hasn't been decided for the upcoming year. The match counted for close to nothing.

You are drastically overestimating how up-tight we, e-sports fans, are. Profanities and jokes mid-match are what we thrive off of. As long as there is no foul play, i.e. match-fixing, then we really could not possibly give less of a fuck. Sincerely, Some Nerd

Somebody brought up the comparison to Stephano, and it really makes me angry. Stephano and Brat_Ok pulled the same shit at Assembly, then Stephano backs out of a contract he signed with Complexity. Nothing happened to him. Anyway, I just cannot find a coherent way to express my thoughts through all this: So much disappointment, sadness at the fall of a shooting star, the reappearance of the spector of match-fixing...*sigh

Of course, it's up to the players themselves to be honourable and adher to the spirit of fair play, but it looks like you can't trust even professional players with this. No Code A/S players in the ESV weekly would avoid the temptation for the Code !/S players to throw games against their non-Code A/S teammates. they used to be in the same team but they are now in different houses

Also, there was no spot for this tournament. Coca and Byun weren't being masterminds. They were just having fun trolling each other, Coca didn't want it to be over, so he forfeited and went onto a third game because it seemed funny at the time. They're just idiot kids who took ESV as a small tournament that didn't mean anything and got a rude awakening at the results.

Plus CoCa and Byun are both still quite young to make stupid mistakes--- they obviously didn't realize how big an issue it was, chatting in game about it. Nobody would chat about it if they didn't think it was a big deal... that's not even attempting to hide it.
