Wow, pretty harsh on Coca. Kid isn't even 18 and they just shit all over his career over some bad decision on his part.

Wow I honestly cant help but feel bad for CoCa for trying to be nice to his friend and then receiving such a fierce punishment when he is obviously very talented. Still a dumb and unjust thing to do though when you think of the other players.

Due to the nature of the match fixing I think a less severe punishment is in order. This wasn't motivated by greed or personal gain, just friendship, and considering his age I think it's understandable how he made this choice. It's also lame to see one of the very best Zergs in the world drop out of code S for such a silly mistake.

Such a moronic overreaction. Please get this sorted out teams!

Seriously this seems like just a stupid reactionary measure that was made with little thought. I mean I can understand making the apologize but not allowing them tp participate on tourneys?

This is nowhere near as the stuff Savior and co did. The retribution is extremely disproportionate.

Are you serious? This is one of the only things that shouldn't be tolerated at any event or level. This could potentially cost people thousands of dollars and ruin entire teams. It could also ruin the legitimacy of Starcraft. You should not be allowed to have an opinion on anything related to Starcraft.

We've seen this before from other players -- Stephano vs. BratOK comes to mind, in which they actually did have something at stake -- and the blow-up was nowhere near as gigantic as this. Hell, I don't know if people even cared that much.

Yes I voted for Gumiho against him in Liquibet!

This is really dumb. They are former teammates though.

Team SlayerS apologize about what happen to Coca's 'match fixing' during the ESV TV Korean Weekly S4 and send Coca back to home.

Manager SlayerSEve said, "I am sorry about what happen to one of SlayerS member during the online tournament." "This is complete mistake from us to e-sports fans to cause misundertanding with no matter of importance nor size of tournament. I regret about reckless management and I will work hard to prevent such an incident ever again."

Boxer also said, "We all know what result match fix scandal has caused. Even in online tournament, this is a non-exceptable matter as progamer." "I apologize as big brother of the team, and I will remind how terrible it is to other players, and we will work hard to show you better games."

SlayerS asked responsiblity of this incident to Coca and place him to B team and set him home. Also, by the meaning of self-reflect, SlayerS will ban Coca to any Starcraft 2 matches inside of Korea and rest of the world. This decision is for an indefinite period, and Coca will be back to SC2 when he is ready.

Coca has forfeit the GSL Nov. Code S for meaning of self-reflect. Coca himself has felt responsible to this incident and forfeit the rest of matches. So, Coca will not be on GSL Code S RO16 Group C match on 16th.

GomTV has announced their official comment on community board. Mr. Chae has explained relationship between ESV TV and GSL. After their official comfirmation, discipline action on players will be announced.

Whats with Zerg and "match fixing". Of all the races they seem to be the most shady. Like the Slytherin of Starcraft. You know they are going to be evil, but you practice with them anyway....you asked for this!

Oh wow, i get it now. Thanks for all the information.

Honestly i doubt this would have been as big of a deal as it is, if the Code A spot wasn't up for grabs. Obviously the players would still be punished, though i don't think it would have been this severely.

I feel very meh about this. IF it was done in secret no one would have known, so I just think it was pretty stupid from the players. Other than that I hope the players don't lose out too much for this.

This is just depressing... on the one hand it's generous of Coca to at least give Byun a chance at a third game and advancing in the tournament, but it's Coca's commitment to his team and everyone who supports him to do his best and be the greatest player he can be, and that especially involves staying clear of anything resembling match fixing. It's especially depressing because Coca was REALLY on the rise as a player, and it's unfortunate to see him fall from grace because of this.

Even so, the punishment fit the crime, I just hope this isn't the end of Coca or Byun =(

Jeez. I honestly thought they were just joking. Wow.

Ugh. Obviously this isn't Sav, Lux, etc esque, but shit. Come on guys -.-

I don't think they should be banned permanently.

Lifelong bans of both players are needed here.
Match fixing is not something to be taken lightly.
They should be happy that they're not facing criminal charges.

This is really sad. I met Coca at Raleigh and his friendliness may be his weakness. He seemed like a really nice guy and talented too! It seems he felt bad for Byun, which is obviously a bad decision and should be dealt with in some way. He doesn't have the character of a cheater or "match-fixer" to be honest.

Code A spot is NOT up for grabs this ESV tournament.
Dr. Chae explained it in his statement.

The thing that sucks about this is that there are only two more Zergs left in Code S and they're in the same group.
