Im with you on this one. I was never really active here or in the local scene. But this event woke me up and taught me that I actually DO care about the SC2 scene locally. So much so that I actually want to help out in any capacity. When you say taking it slow- I thought of a bi-monthly or quarterly sort of local SC2 event just for the Philippines where event organizers can get really good with the event and streams...culminating in a year/season ender grand finals. If only we could find an organizer for this kind of thing in the Philippines...

International quality stream can be fixed, it's just bandwidth problems. All they need is better internet connection to get that 720p-1080p. I do agree about the Audio equipment. Let us be honest, it gets better and better. eSports here in the Philippines is just growing after all. Give it around 6 months or a year. I assure you that It will be better than ever before. At least they are experienced, all they need is materials for the certain event they are going to host/make sooner or later. and thanks for your opinion. I hope someone from Mineski reads this and fix the audio/video problems asap. ![]() I agree with what you said, my point is that I think they are capable but still have a lot of work ahead of them with regards to online broadcasting. They are definitely competent on running events, but I think some or the comments about them are exaggerated. I just don't want too much hype going into the local scene that might not meet expectations regarding the production quality of the stream.

Can't let this thread die and be forgotten. That's what gus wants!

http://www.teamazk.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=showcat&catid=16&Itemid=521 we should all start threads about this whole disaster and keep the issue alive on their website. Im willing to bet theyll delete threads that could harm their reputation but we should keep making them to let them know that the SC2 community wont stop asking questions until they start answering

I am still waiting for more facts from Team AZK guys. Operating under the assumption that Gus will be AWOL, that's the best source of facts right now.

LOL really? that's why he failed, you think he's friends the mineski guys? - internationally? just name drop even more Step 6: Step 1-5 he was able to get IGN - IPL 3 qualifiers/ he was also a part in the PGF with mineski gaming - wtf since when did he have part in the PGF? where you get this source? IGN came to him or either way around gus had the 'promise' to bring tastetosis and actual good players over (well not all and selectively at least), he did deliver on this part Step 7: Step 1-6, he used that to get a lot of sponsors - yup just use your hype to generate sponsors, it's just a wake-up call for references. BUT THEN AGAIN YOU CAN EXPECT SOME CORRUPTION. eg. 'hey you want to sponsor my event? give me 250k, 50k aside for you...' it's a daily business practice for sure, that doesn't just happen in the philippines

To make up for the cancellation of the Devastation SC2 tourney and the PPSL, David said he would sponsor both events. Lots of people on his staff (by the way he made it sound in a recent interview, his entire staff) told him sponsoring PPSL was a bad idea because Gus had zero proof that he had enough experience to pull something like this off. But David told his staff "just trust him". David said that he was too trusting, a quality that is just a part of who he is, and that he has now learned his lesson and won't make the same mistake again. There is a question here though. There were no posts about the PPSL being at the same time as IPL3. There was no publicity for it. No one who has come forward to relay their concerns has said that PPSL was ever scheduled for any date before the one it ended up landing on. The Australian qualifier was put into motion around the middle of September, if I'm getting Dox's timeline right. Was it scheduled way back in August for October? I don't understand what's going on here.

What David Ting said at IPL3 was that his event was on the same weekend as IPL3. Because of that, he said two events had to cancel. One was PPSL, the other was Devastation. Devastation didn't cancel the event, but they were having an SC2 tourney for the first time at one of their events and David actually requested that they cancel that. I don't understand what's going on here. The date for PPSL changed multiple times, according to Dox in his blog. The PPSL announcement on AZK's website still says that the event would be in October, but as early as September 1 the event was scheduled for November (as dated in Dox's blog post), so the whole PPSL > IPL shift must have happened even sooner than that.
