My big hope is that they don't miss their target audience with some of the shows they put up, while they try and make them more mainstream. It's happened in the past, where there's a great concept, but in making it more accessible for other people, they lose their entire actual target demographic and end up tanking.

I have faith though, and I really can't want to see how this turns out!

I would kill to get signed into this, it would be awesome. I hope Youtube does something with streaming next, they would be getting a ton of income if they had a more relaxed streaming service and allowed people like Destiny and Day9 to stream with ease.

i nearly had a heart aattack, both from the excitement that Youtube was interested and the possibility that they might feature some unknown league with no experience. I'm glad they chose IPL, especially as it comes off from its recent season that gave them more experience and confidence of running a live show.

Excellent news!

Weren't we just having a discussion about getting SC2 on ESPN and many of us were arguing that TV is the wrong medium for SC2? I think we just found a solid alternative!
