Yeah well, maybe if SC2 is shown over youtube, there will be some people who say "Hey, this Starcraft thing looks nice, i will try that out." But I would not like people who watch and follow starcraft halfhearted. Hmm.... For me, starcraft play a decent role in my life. Its an awesome game with a huge and awesome community, and it doesn't deserve to be "sold out" to random people.
That's what i thought when people got into SC2 and talked about how great it was, i felt kinda irritated because these people didn't come from brood war and didn't 'get it' on a scale that i did.
There's no reason for people that came into SC2 to try and keep it to themselves at this point.

When the fact that other people enjoy it affects whether you enjoy it....
The more the merrier. Besides, wasn't that someone's definition of what a real ESPORT is?

Always knew a huge organisation such as IGN have the right ideas going forward, introducing eSports to a mainstream audience. Congratulations to everyone involved, including all the casting team. They all must be really excited about this news. I wonder how many people would watch from the YouTube homepage. They numbers who just click on YouTube everyday must be staggering.

So many hipster nerds in here. This is great news! ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)
Edit: Cat clicked post
This will for sure get more people watching starcraft, I am so excited to see what happens.

Definitely makes more sense then ESPN. Sounds awesome.

This makes a lot more sense than trying to reach regular TV. This is a great news but let's see how it develops before being to enthusiast although IGN has already proved their commitement to the esport community.

funny human development / ways , + step for numbers

This is awesome IGN gogo!

At last! IPL is making MLG look baad in comparison. Seriously the battle to between MLG and IPL will be one of the most amazing things in 2012.

I guess they could maybe use the revenue created to add more leagues paying them for that content and uploading them after those leagues profit on the live streaming and early vods. Imagine like every second of dreamhack nicely uploaded on youtube and of course share the revenue. I would like that.
Great move!
