I've noticed that TSL have been doing much more international oriented actions, sending aLive and polt to MLG, letting them stream and now sending clide to a foreign event (If I recall sangho has been to quite a few before) I wonder if TSL are looking for a foreign partner or foreign sponser. Anyways best player in the universe got his group easy, and then he'll lose in the first round of elimination :>.

Yeah TSL seems very proactive about getting their players well known and loved, I approve of it greatly. Clide is pretty damn solid and should do fairly well provided he doesn't land in a death group or against Goody who would kill him with sheer exhaustion in TvT.
I kinda like TSL as the stubborn little team that could, all alone but determined to make each of tier players as good as possible. I mean if they are looking for sponsorship or a partner i hope they get it but for right now I sorta like them as they are.
Also excited to see Mana and Select added, honestly by the time all is said and done everyone I like will probably be there.
Holy shit that is a stacked tournament! Awesome to have MVPGenius invited! I think this is his first foreign event sense he won blizzcon. It would be nice to see him at more events not that he isn't completely tied up in GSL.
Woah impressive line-up. They just need to sprinkle some IM and SlayerS in there and will become the most stacked SC2 tourney ever imho. Looking forward to Cliiiiiiide ofcourse hes gonna s h i t some big mules when hes gonna have everybody smile and yell Cliiidee at him. Would like to see Benny DeMuslim do well too it has been a while since he hasnt broken any of his bioware and it is about time he manages to do a big result in a LAN. Dont think he can concentrate while sober tho so give him like 5 beers then cut him off;)) I think and hope Thorzain will have an awesome run.

I just had a thought, goody vs thorzain what will end first the world or the match?
Not even legions of tanks can stop the slow erosion of the mighty spoon beating down upon you, again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN and again and again and again!

Finally Cliiiiiide makes his international debut. Hopefully he'll end TSL's abysmal showings at foreign tournaments. Seriously TSL is like, supplier of 50% of foreigner wins against Koreans.
It always amazes me to see the level of play from the mousesports players. The team only has a few players, but they are all top notch. They have almost all of their players in quite a few tournaments.
TSL has now sent each of their core players to a foreign tournament in the past two months. Polt to Orlando; Alive to IPL/Orlando; Clide to DH Winter; Killer to IEM NY; Revival and JYP to China. Good job on Lee for taking care of his guys and giving them international exposure.

YES DBS MADE IT IN YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA
nice lineup this will be a great tournament Im sure eventhough the format seems kinda odd with 2 rounds of group play and stuff but well i think thats needed when you have such a huge playerpool (and its still way better than the mlg forman just sayin...) hope they will invite socke darkforce morrow and cloud and if they do Im totally cool with the lineup
Why do they always invite Puma??? He's not even that good and all he does against Protoss is 1/1/1 all in every single time. The euros think this guy is top5 terran for whatever reason.

I've noticed that you've been making posts like these everywhere, do you ever actually have anything to contribute or are you just gonna sit on your high horse acting like you're superior to everyone?

The question is why TL players are invited, because Puma just in this month, October had better results than whole TL team combined lol.
wow, deamhack u rock...this cuold easily be the sickest group of players i ever saw at one tourney except gsl. its gonna be so freakin good tournament...cant wait

Dreamhack always has the best invite lists because they know who to invite that can show good games AND have a good fanbase.
wait sorry so is this winter thing sort of like a "conclusion" like a championships kind of thing? Like players had to qualify through performance from either online qualifiers or previous performances in dreamhack tournaments through this year? or is it just the last event for 2011?

He is the kind of guy that no one really seems to care about, despite having been in Code S since January; he always got past RO32 (with the single exception of GSL August), and in GSL October he lost 3-2 to MMA, who later defeated MVP 4-1 to win championship. Basically, he is a really good and consistent Terran who still lacks prestige (at least in the West).

Clide is really good. Artosis loves him and claims he was the best player in the world GSL season 1 and 2. I really hope he does good.

MVP pwned MMA later in MLG Global invitational 2011 Korea as 4-2. (before that his mechanic macro just crushed MMA in MLG Anaheim)

There are two big Dreamhacks each year, Summer and Winter
The invitationals are just little extra tournaments they've started doing. This is the main tournament and this is where the money is. :D
DRG, Genius, Clide, Sen, SeleCT, HuK, and IdrA are the Only ones that I can see possibly winning it all here. The others just aren't in their league, especially not Stephano

lol ok. Stephano has only won 2 major international tournaments. highest price earning foreign player. Rank 1 on ELO. Multiple online wins. 70% vin ratio vs koreans. Got the highest % win ratio in all matchup amongst foreigner.
Stephano:
ZvT 67% ZvP 68% ZvZ 67%
Idra:
ZvT 59% ZvP 58% ZvZ 65%
And beside that Stephano only zerg beside Nestea that has beaten Marineking in a bo3.
But you right about one thing Stephano is defiantly in another league.

I have the feeling that he was being ironic
No, I think he is just an anti-fanboy. Take a look at his post history.

So I do believe that statement made there is completely and utterly false.
The foreigner lineup for this event is the best I have ever seen. Huk, Naniwa, Sase, Thorzain, Stephano, Idra, imo the top 6 outside Korea at the moment. As well as almost every notable top European. Sick.
I'm thinking about coming to see this event and I was wondering if anyone has some advice on the best way to travel to Jönköping. I'm in London right now, and I figure i'll take a plane to stockholm and get a bus or train from there. Is there an airline that flies to Jönköping that I should use instead?

A bit weird they didn't invite the player who holds the title.
Not really, this is the 2011 Dreamhack Championship so they invite players from all tourneys they held during 2011. Still, feeling a little bit for Naama so I really hope he will make his way through this qualifier!
some updates from qualifier #2: HappyZerG knocked out in ro128 by ChiTa Naama knocked out in the ro32 by Aristeo Eeel knocked out by paranoid in the ro64 by ParanOid
Very nice, though I'd rather see more online (or offline) qualifiers than direct invites (nothing against inviting people who posted good results in the past dreamhack tournaments). I'll definitely be rooting from the people who legitimately fought for their place in the qualifiers! Eager to see how the two typeii players will perform!

This lineup is way better many really good foreigners some koreans and not like providence where half the players are koreans and will take top 32 overall ~~

I'm not sure how you could say that this lineup is better than providence. As far as overall skill providence has the best in the world period (for a foreign event). Of course there are i think 16 more open spots (4 online, 12 invites) so things can obviously change. But the likes of MVP and Nestea alone push it over the edge. I would love to see Nerchio, Sase, and a few other Europeans that are probably not going to be at providence but that in no way takes away from the talent pool at providence. Just because their are alot of Koreans doesn't make it bad... that is such strange logic.

Your 'better' = more talent His 'better' = would prefer to watch
What a solid line up.. Solid Code S players from each of the three races Toss: MC Zerg: DRG Terran: Clide Supported by the koreans on foreigner teams (Puma, Hero) And then Killer.
Supported by the best of Euros, ThorZain, Naniwa, Stephano, SjoW And the best of Internationals: HuK, Sen
Solid solid line up for a solid tournament... It's foolish though..to those that think this lineup is deeper than MLG providence time and time again looking at this lineup....
