I find it absurd that it evolved this way, with people stating that they are afraid of clustered holes. It's one of those fears that people have only when they've read or heard about it. It's more than an irrational phobia. It's a self induced phobia. | ||

I remember in WoW there was area that had some infected bears that had spider eggs attached to them, that was really disgusting, I ran away from there and canceled all the quests from that area  | ||

If you really need a more precise exemple, I'm pretty sure a lot more people are afraid of spiders then holes, yet a lot of games and movies have spiders in them. Edit :also OP you made a mistake, your description of the phobia indicates "fear" of the swarm host design, your poll asks if it "disgusts" you, two very different feelings. I can find the noises zerg units make in the game or their design disgusting but they don't make me uneasy or fear them. | ||

I have seen a pic that would very likely make most people in this thread feel disgusted about holes, it pretty much traumatized me, and I'm sure anyone who've been to [a/ knows what i'm talking about. | ||

LADDERPHOBIA! If you are afraid of something, do you want to live with this fear for the rest of your life? Don't be a pussy and fight it! I used to be kind of arachnophobic but i fought my fear an kicked it's ass! Now i'm fascinated by spider's nature and how many species of them actually exist  | ||

It seems junky, improvised, cheap, and haves a War Pig logo in its shield! Very SC1 Terran. They used to feel rusty (they actually scavenged destroyed buildings). Warhound feels rusty. There are phobias for pretty much everything, in this game we have men getting cut up by blades, psionic storms killing groups of people, green bomb like bugs exploding on innocent workers, we got "zerg creep" which looks like burnt skin, Zerg in general is gross And that is the point, they have several characteristics of insects, that is not to say they are insectoid (they arent) they simple assimilate the strongest and develop them into their own. If you developed this phobia from 4chan, then i am pretty sure you have seen far far worse things that a unit in a RTS videogame wont cause you any problems. It baffles me that people go to "shock" sites and have their "lulz" going on, yet are trying to pose a argument that a videogame with quite cartoony graphics is too much. | ||
